#partial dislocation

Hi! Just wondering if you or your followers have any thoughts on this: I experience what I believe are partial dislocations in my knees and ankles and sometimes in my neck/upper back and shoulders. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but I've never known dislocations to be a symptom. I don't have any of the symptoms of EDS, which is the only disorder I know of that does cause dislocations. The word you’re looking for is subluxation, that’s a medical term for partial dislocation. I have patella subluxation in both knees, so my patella partially dislocates while I walk. I don’t know about names of issues for other parts, maybe some followers are more familiar with that.

Worst part about (most likely) having Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome? Subluxations that don’t correct for days. I (evidently) suffered from a hip subluxation on Saturday & it didn’t correct until this morning. 2 days of pain that I tried correcting, but couldn’t because I guess things just weren’t relaxed enough yet. Oh, no. It didn’t pop into place again until I had to shimmy and shake my out of bed around my dogs. *sighs* At least it wasn’t a total dislocation.

Another day another strange new injury

Guess who probably partially dislocated a rib!!!!

It’s always a funny feeling when you’re just vibing and a joint pops so loud that it echoes

Or when you stand up and crack your back only to realize that you’ve partially dislocated your hip and cracking your back put it back into place

That second one may sound extremely specific but I’ll be honest this is a regular occurrence for me to the point where if my hip feels weird I’ll stand up and move as if to crack my back to make sure my hip is in place

Dislocated my knee in my sleep. Well, partial dislocation. Got it back in finally. Then layed so that gravity pulled it into the correct position. It's feeling better now. Just sore. But I am tired.

A subluxation means partial dislocation of a bone and when it comes to patellar subluxation, it is characterized by a partial dislocation of the patella. This condition is also known as patellar instability or kneecap instability.

I get subluxations of my wrists multiple times a year and I used to get subluxations of my ankles and sprained them weekly and now I did it to my shoulder why does this keep happening and two more weeks until I can fix it

Argh subluxing wrist alert...sparked off my trapping it in a door and dislocating... Clever eh??
