Partner Communications, Israel’s second-largest mobile phone operator, said on Monday that streaming giant Netflix will be available on Partner’s new television service.

The two sides formed a partnership in which Netflix will be directly accessible from Partner’s TV service that is expected to be launched in the coming weeks and will be based on the Android TV operating system.

Pourquoi l’opérateur français ne rompt-il pas toute relation d’affaires avec l’israélien Partner, qui opère sous la marque Orange Israël, dans le cadre de ce que l’on appelle un simple « contrat de licence » ? Partner Communications est accusé par un collectif d’associations et d’ONG d’être impliqué « dans la colonisation israélienne » et d’avoir parrainé « un bataillon de chars qui a participé aux exactions les plus sanglantes pendant les massacres de l’été dernier à Gaza ».
