Okay so it’s official I’m a student of the @opencollegearts! Yes okay, so reading the handbook is exciting and reading the syllabus when you’ve got a morphine hangover is a bit overwhelming! But, allready I feel more comfortable than I did at Swansea or open university - my course is focused on my art rather than the history or literature of others, it’s about ME as a writer and improving my style, techniques and content. (Just because I have written one book doesn’t mean I’m exempt for learning how to improve and make my next project better.) I already love my tutor and I’ve been in touch with one of my course mates. I’ll admit that having gone through uni twice and failed doesn’t look good but, #parttimeeducation for me is better as I can take it ONE module at a time at my pace rather than 7 each packed into four weeks each. This isn’t an easy course either. I’m here to get a first in three years time and I can be proud and say ‘I did that.’ Come on OCA throw whatever at me, this time I’m mentally prepared for the challenge. #creativewriting #BAhonours #maturestudent https://www.instagram.com/p/BzyE1iKgz_b/?igshid=17vbzbuu9vbq5
