wretched little man gets a treadling
(Q: Why is your wretched little man so wretched?
A: Pasha is a longhaired goblin with hair that a vet once politely described as “not fit for purpose”. He felts horribly, even with regular grooming, and we have to shave him several times a year to prevent this matting becoming very uncomfortable for him. He is unenthusiastic about the shaving process, and I am not a professional pet groomer, so the resulting haircut is a little wack. Don’t worry, he will look less a plucked chicken thigh in a week or two when his hair starts growing back!)
(Q: What are you spinning?
A: I’m chain plying a single from a hand dyed silk hankie I got. I didn’t realise how much chain plying looked like casting magic spells until I watched this video back… The resulting 3-ply yarn is a fine laceweight in gorgeous jewel tones. Pics to come soon.)
