Azure Lion brought a very smart and strong fighter, [Reader], into their group. She's good at everything and always in control, but she doesn't like to talk much. She especially tries to avoid Wukong, the noisy Monkey King. Still, she understands they must work as a team.Macaque secretly likes [Reader]. He thinks she's amazing, but he's too shy to even say hello properly. Wukong, the only one who knows Macaque's secret, often tries to force them together. He'll make up reasons for Macaque to talk to [Reader].Macaque doesn't mind Wukong's help, deep down, because he does want to get to know her. But he's terrified of looking foolish in front of [Reader] every time Wukong interferes. He just wishes he could talk to her normally, without Wukong's clumsy pushes.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 The moment you stepped into the Brotherhood, Macaque was practically mesmerized. A dragon? Here? What would such a powerful force want with them? He was mostly nervous, hoping Wukong hadn't made yet another dangerous enemy they'd all have to help him fend off

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once it was announced you were an ally, he relaxed a bit. And yet he could barely fix his mouth to talk to you. Hundreds of ideas ran through his head about what he would even say, but the moment you're in front of him he can't think straight and the words abandon him

ᯓᡣ𐭩 The two of you may not have actively talked before, but you've shared space plenty of times. Macaque was the quietest member of the alliance, making him the easiest to relax around. You wouldn't say you could put your guard down around him (far from it, actually, as Macaque proved to be cunning when need be), but you could tolerate him best

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Another trait you had in common was annoyance at the Monkey King. Whenever the boisterous leader would run in, you'd pick up your things and walk the other way. Unfortunately, Wukong noticed the signs of something happening immediately. Macaque's shy but hopeful glances, the way he seeks you out in a room… Wukong immediately threw himself into the middle of it

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Through pestering and teasing, Wukong eventually pushes Macaque to try and actually talk to you. But he also has his own ideas of how to 'help' Macaque along. Usually including very obviously making excuses for you two to be together, or nudging himself into conversation to try and 'wingman' in a terribly messy way

ᯓᡣ𐭩 The worst of the King's attempts had to be when he tried to set up a romantic dinner for you both. Turns out trained warriors are suspicious of conveniently placed food, especially when it begins storming halfway through and Wukong accidentally steps on one of the plates trying to get inside

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Wukong eventually had yet another huge celebration feast of one of his many victories, and he immediately went down for a deep sleep after eating so much. Macaque took that chance to slowly approach where you'd gone to take refuge from the noise, this time without a nosy ruler interfering. He emerged from the shadows, giving you a quiet greeting after inching closer

ᯓᡣ𐭩 You were a little caught off guard- he'd never talked to you before, after all. You acted calm and collected as always, but decided to humor him. Before you knew it, at least an hour had passed. Macaque was easy to talk to, he was smart and listened to your every word. You still avoided the King where you could, but now you'd invite Macaque with you to go somewhere else
