Adding pastrami, Swiss cheese, and a tangy mayo-mustard sauce to your cheeseburger will make it taste even better. These Spiced Swiss Pastrami Burgers are a tasty take on an old favorite.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices Swiss cheese. 8 slices pastrami. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1/2 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves and tomato slices for garnish.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat. Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the ground beef in a bowl. Make 4 burger patties out of it. The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. Add a slice of Swiss cheese to top of each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt it. Grill the burger buns until they are just barely golden while the burgers are cooking. Mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl to make a sauce. Spread the mayo-mustard sauce on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together. Put a lettuce leaf on top, then the cooked burger patty with Swiss cheese on top of that. Put two slices of pastrami on each burger and a tomato slice on top of each one. Add the top half of the bun to finish. Make sure your Spiced Swiss Pastrami Burgers are hot before you eat them.
