I love Patrick!!! He is caring, loving, earnest, sincere, insecure, passive-aggressive, sarcastic and competitive. He shows his love through grand gestures, like serenading David in front of the town to giving little gifts. Coming to terms with his own sexuality, and discovering his love for David, Patrick is awesome.

The gorgeous Noah Reid plays Patrick beautifully, and kept up with all the comedic heavy hitters of the show.

I just noticed something

David designed the Rose Apothecary logo that we all know and love with two roses - separated. Spaced apart. 

It's clean, it's beautiful, aesthetically pleasing. Very much like David. He was standing alone, trying to separate himself from his past, his doubts, his failures. 

And then Patrick came along. They built a store and a life together.

Recently, all the RA merch - official merch - has been sporting a new logo. 

It's a single stem with two blooms. 

David and Patrick are married now. A family. A unit. One stem, two blooms.

See?

(Inspired by the fact that David calls Patrick his Husband a lot before the wedding.)

A few weeks before the wedding, David and Patrick are both feeling bogged down by the details. The list is long and they are stressed.

On a day off from the store, Patrick suggests they go to town hall and sign the marriage license. They expect it to be sort of… perfunctory. Another item checked off the list. But it’s actually sweet and tender and it feels bigger than that. They’re legally married now.
