(1993) Top Gear 2
“eh, it’s alright” [m1 piano line starts] “it’s great.”
blatant biases aside, it’s decent. I love anything that can be placed near a dancefloor, and this qualifies. the sample selection is a little weird, in an amiga-flavored way. (...wasn’t this originally from the amiga anyway? hmm)
highlight: the slightly weird but ultimately great groove of “Ending Theme”

(1994) Zool: Ninja of the "Nth" Dimension
this game appeared on pretty much every platform back in the day.
comparing it to the Genesis version: the arrangements are the same, but the instrumentation is better on the Genesis. (which happens when you’re up against Matt Furniss)
there’s still a certain charm to the samples used here, though. “Fruity Forest” in particular is actually better for it imo!
(1994) Zool
8 bit renditions of a few of Pat Phelan's amiga classics
"BGM #03" (which is to say... "Zool Rave") is my favorite here
(1993) Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing
good ol’ Patrick Phelan.
yeah it’s a good soundtrack. a bop. matches the genesis version too, though a good bit cleaner.
I think “Title” particularly benefits from the fidelity increase.
