Isabel Sörling chante, hurle ou vocalise (extraordinaire). Simon Tailleu (contrebasse) assure l’allant. Paul Lay a mis au point cette libre anthologie de folk-songs et spirituals comme un des sons fondamentaux de la musique américaine à partir de la guerre de Sécession (1860). L’un des éléments de la culture dont le jazz est l’émanation unique.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Horizons, le premier morceau (instrumental) définit l’espace. Maple Leaf Rag (Scott Joplin génialement traité par un pianiste actuel aux airs de jeune homme à la mode) annonce la couleur. Go to Hell (Nina Simone), son envergure.
