Paul Harvey: A Leading Stuckist and His Role in Defining the Movement’s Ethos

Paul Harvey was a radio announcer who would end his broadcast with words similar to what Jim Carrey said in The Truman Show. Harvey would often leave his listeners in suspense for the wind up and would say "and now for the rest of the story". He was on air for decades and was spot on. This is the version with visuals. From 1965--Harvey was not a prophet or psychic. Just a man of faith who saw the signs.
A more modern take
One for the heads: #Sabotageby #PaulHarvey circa 1993. This is quite a find: Sabotage might be the first tech-wear label ever and Harvey later changed the game at Stone Island & CP Company. The idea of a sweater that has been distressed to the point of no return might seem a little obvious nowadays. Except, this is the very first time this concept was done. Allegedly the distressing was done to imitate the effects of a shotgun. 🌞 Upon taking a closer look, we can see that the execution of this piece is fantastic. Extra heavy loopback jersey on the outside and thick camo-print waffle knit on the inside make it reversible. Wide cropped body, dropped shoulders and long arms make it look like it was designed a moment ago. Heya, happy new year. Thanks for your support. I would like to post cool stuff that arrives at the archive more often. Anyway, here's a cool af sweater from #Sabotage by #PaulHarvey (who later developed Stone Island & CP Company) circa 1993. 🌞 I have a feeling that Sabotage might be the very first tech-wear label. Crafted from heavy cotton knit with a thick, deliberately cracked screenprint designed by @wouterhoste. A dramatic drop-shoulder silhouette with a short funnel neck that stands. This is the sort of garment that in my opinion subverts its club heritage and crosses over into something else. A big thanks to the Sabotage's founder Michael Dannroth for sharing this slept-on but highly influential fashion moment. Until next year! #endyma #endymaarchive (at ENDYMA) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYKLIwLNyB1/?utm_medium=tumblr

Paul Harvey in 1965, how did he know we would be here in 2021?
