Dec 21 2019 East Los Angeles Sheriffs Station annual Christmas Toy Giveway. We were disgusted for many reasons and one was that they chose to use their violent and racist logo as a photo back drop. The original logo features a riot helmet atop a boot and the words "Fort Apache" and "Low Profile." On the bottom of the logo it reads "siempre una patada en los pantalones" — Spanish for "always a kick in the pants." Alex Villanueva has revived the logo and it is currently still displayed at the station and worn as a patch on many deputies. This logo serves as a constant reminder of terrorism between the community and the East Los Angeles sheriff station. We showed up wearing Anthony’s Memorial shirt’s, signs and a list of Christmas wishes given by Anthony’s nieces, nephews and cousins.
