REOPEN MITRICE RICHARDSON’S CASE! As I approached my exit, I saw a justice for Mitrice Richardson sign. My heart filled with joy to see that someone had posted this. I remember when she went missing. I remember seeing the reports that she had supposedly walked away from the sheriffs station. I remember the reports of people saying they saw her in their backyard. I remember the reports of people saying they saw her walking in the canyon. I remember the reports that she was in Vegas. The list goes on and on and on. No one tried to assist this young woman. I remember the day her body was found minutes away from where I live. Since that day, I see her family and friends protesting or holding a vigil outside of the sheriff’s station. On Sept. 16, 2009, Mitrice Richardson dined at Geoffrey’s restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway, then was briefly detained by deputies for not paying her bill. A few hours later, before her mother, Latice Sutton, could come and pick her up, Richardson was released just after midnight by deputies from the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff’s station. Her car, which included her purse and cellphone, had been impounded. She had no transportation as she headed out into the darkness of Agoura Road. Investigators concluded this was not a murder. I remember this case oh so well.
