Women in Mahabharata - Suyajna

She is the daughter of Prasenjita, most probably a cousin to the main Paurava line. She is married to the Paurava king Mahabhauma, and her son is known as Ayutanaayi.

He is named thus since he apparently performed one ayuta (10,000) purusha-medha (human sacrifice) yajnas. I suspect from Suyajna's name, that she might've had a little something to do with this.

I guess we cannot expect all the women to be completely hinged. :)

She is the fourth of wife of Ajamidha. She has no known sons and therefore unfortunately doesn't appear in most lists where her husband is mentioned.

She hails from Kalinga and is the wife of Paurava Akrodhana. Her son is named Devaatithi.

She is noted in Mahabharata as a wife of Ilina and the mother of five sons headed by Dushyanta. However, other Puranas mark Dushyanta's mother as Marutta's daughter Sammata.

She is a woman from Videha married to Paurava Devaatithi. Her son is Ariha II.

She is noted in Mahabharata as a princess of Anga and the wife of the Paurava King Ariha II. Her son is Riksha. She is also the grandmother of Matinara, a consort of Saraswati.

She is a princess of Kalinga, married to the Paurava King Tansu, Saraswati's son. Her son Ilina is the father of Dushyanta.
