Paveline! I read it a pretty long time ago and finally drawing her
The past week I've been feverishly trying to learn 3D. I don't know why but suddenly it just occurred to me that I'd like to give it a shot and make a game someday. The thought got me really excited, and I spent three days doing nothing else but try to make this model and learn how it works.
It's not perfect, there's some stuff with the rig I'd like to fix and some of the texturing. Maybe clean up some of the geometry too, but I'd like to move on from it and try out some other models and environments.
This came out way higher poly than I intended, so next I think I'll try limiting myself even further. I could hardly sleep all week, I kept thinking of stuff I wanted to try and make, as well as story/concept ideas.
Oh yeah and I used Blender.
Some sketches from today and last night!! Some of the outfits i referenced from a fashion magazine
Vii made some sprites so I wanted in so I made some too
Not as good as the old one I made though
(first one is the actual size click on it to see or it'll just look blurry!!!!!!!)

Para-Ten Updates: Complete // Artist: Ashwara aka William Gibbons From the website: [Para-Ten] is about a girl who was washed down a river and winds up far from home. She embarks on a journey home, encountering fantastic things, beautiful things, horrible things, disgusting things. It is an exploration of balance, patience, and courage. I have been reading Para-Ten since its first strip, and it was quite a journey. The story is simplistic and the art is beautiful. Paveline's journey is a tough one, but her determination to remain optimistic throughout the entire thing is touching and something that I really admire. This is a webcomic that doesn't thrive on being anything other than what it is; it doesn't have to touch on current social issues, or try to be edgy, it's enjoyable just as it is. Para-Ten will be a fairly quick read for anyone, and it's easy to pick up and get sucked right in. Since it's completed, you don't have to worry about falling behind in the reading. But don't fret! Para-Ten may be finished, but William is hard at work on Late Blooming as well.
This was mainly shape consistency practice (though I got lazy in some areas), then I tried some experiments with the lineart. I ended up not liking the effect too much, and it was very time consuming; a little too polished maybe. The movement is also really stiff...
I'd prefer a look like the this if I can manage. The thing is that lineart like that is hard to make an assembly line... but I think thinner lineart is the way to go. A lineart style like Kemonozume is what I'd like, I think. For when I animate some Para-Ten stories.
