Hi there! c: I read a lot of webcomics, and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and make a tumblr to archive all these webcomics AND recommend them to the rest of you at the same time! If there's a webcomic you'd like me to check out/feature, feel free to drop me an ask!

The Meek Updates: Currently on HIATUS // Artist: Der-shing Helmer aka alexds1 on DeviantART. From the website: "The Meek is a graphic novel about Angora, an inexperienced young girl who has been sent on a quest to save the world. War looms on the horizon, and at its helm is the Emperor of the North and his hellish adviser. The two countries are overwhelmed with as much terror, crime, disease and revolution as they are with those who wish to create peace. Armed with only her instincts and an unexplainable power, she must experience and judge the world—and decide once and for all if it is truly worth saving." It's got a great cast of characters and follows a few intertwining story lines, all revolving around this one central plot. This webcomic is among my top three favorites. If you read any of the comics I post on this blog, READ THIS ONE. I adore it, and I can't wait to see where the story goes from here. Unfortunately, (as often happens,) the artist is dealing with things in the real world and it hasn't updated in a long while. However! It is not dead by any means! You can like the comic's facebook or the artist's personal twitter if you want to be notified when it updates. (On the website there are some more external links including a tumblr, sketch blog, and wiki.) And might I also add that while a comic is on hiatus is the perfect time to catch up? ;)

Girls With Slingshots Updates: Weekdays // Artist: Danielle Corsetto (who can also be found on Twitter!) Girls With Slingshots is a grown-up slice of life comic. I started reading it because it was just a funny daily strip, but it has a nice plot continuity and a wide variety of characters that anyone can relate to. There's quite the backlog with this one, but I highly recommend it, and it's a quick read since each strip is only about 5 panels long. I'll let the strips speak for themselves here. There's not much I can say to better express how awesome this comic is!

Para-Ten Updates: Complete // Artist: Ashwara aka William Gibbons From the website: [Para-Ten] is about a girl who was washed down a river and winds up far from home. She embarks on a journey home, encountering fantastic things, beautiful things, horrible things, disgusting things. It is an exploration of balance, patience, and courage. I have been reading Para-Ten since its first strip, and it was quite a journey. The story is simplistic and the art is beautiful. Paveline's journey is a tough one, but her determination to remain optimistic throughout the entire thing is touching and something that I really admire. This is a webcomic that doesn't thrive on being anything other than what it is; it doesn't have to touch on current social issues, or try to be edgy, it's enjoyable just as it is. Para-Ten will be a fairly quick read for anyone, and it's easy to pick up and get sucked right in. Since it's completed, you don't have to worry about falling behind in the reading. But don't fret! Para-Ten may be finished, but William is hard at work on Late Blooming as well.
