i never realize how weird american traditions are until I heard you say people in italy usually marry late 30s... like I thought it was weird I hadn’t already planned to be married by like 26... i’m sure it’s because of capitalism somehow but I can’t think of a reason yet

i guess it's the same reason people are so obsessed with getting out of their parents house as soon as they hit 20 years old you need to work get a family have children to substain the economy etc etc etc its still weird
