It had been a while since Hibiki had paid Nagoya a visit. In his absence the city hadn’t changed much. It was just as lively as he remembered it to be.
People were enjoying the weather. Hibiki saw neighbors, families, friends and groups of people who seemingly had no connection other than that they wanted to experience the cool summer breeze together all spending time outside happily. If it wasn’t for the fact he was meeting up with someone and he was running late, he would have joined a group already.
When Hibiki arrived at their meeting point it took him no time to spot the person he was looking for.
“Hey! Ronaldo! Over here!” Hibiki called out, running up to Ronaldo and waving his arm to catch his attention. A moment later and Hibiki stood in front of his friend, smiling at him apologetically as he catch his breath. “I put the running in running late, it seems. Sorry you had to wait.”
Laughing at his own pun, Hibiki dabbed his forehead with the end of his sleeve. Only now while standing still could he truly appreciate the cool summer breeze.
