I got my first ever pay, after 25 years.
Technically my first ever pay, kasi I had a 2 months experience of work last year, but that wasn’t really a “job”. I was just assisting my cousin and gave me something out of it.
And today I wanted to celebrate it with my boyfriend. Kaso wala sya diba, nasa barko pa.
I cried, siguro dahil naaawa na ako sa mom ko where to find funds na pambayad sa lahat ng utang namin in the middle of pandemic, and finally makakapag ambag na ko sa gastos sa bahay, and that I’m happy kasi magkakaipon na ko. Also, miss na miss ko na ang boyfriend ko.
But everytime I was asked, “anong gagawin mo sa first pay out mo?” I would think thoroughly and just answer “wala pa kong naiisip.” And sasabihin nila na “wow, sana all walang paggagamitan ng pera.” But the truth is, we have a lot to pay, so hindi ko naiisip gamitin basta yung magiging sweldo ko.
I also heard na when it’s your first pay, you have to reward yourself, pero for me, rewarding na ang makatulong ako sa bayarin dito sa bahay. Rewarding na din siguro na magpa-Jollibee ako sa family ko bukas ng lunch. Kung may matira, iipunin ko na lang, since wala pa talaga akong naiisip na gusto kong bilhin. :)
