July 8, 2023 - Knitting in prep for fall
Instead of sleeping this morning, I stayed up and knit. I finished my Baker Street Scarf and a blue pumpkin. I started a 2nd pumpkin when I got to the library today.
It's warm, and the fan is blowing my hair. Not ideal conditions for pretty pics, but I don't mind. Now face-expressions... those are tougher. :P
DIY Japanese Beaded Amigurumi Patterns
These pay patterns from Etsy BeadingWithSmile use the Japanese technique of beading amigurumi - 2 Thread Right Angle Weave.

Plush Pumpkins at the Library - Nov 22, 2022
My friends at the town office love my plush pumpkins, so a few have been hanging around. The top-center one is mine; the rest are going to my friends here.

Sycamore is to blame for all this orange yarn. I swear I’ve put a dent in the stash, since getting it in 2014, but there’s still so much orange yarn. Anyway, I’m pumpkin’ed out for the season.
DIY Knit Fox Paws Scarf or Shawl by Xandy Peters
This iconic pattern is for intermediate knitters.
From Xandy Peters:
Fox paws is a rectangular wrap with a distinctive stripe motif that looks like little interlocking fox feet. Using only increases and decreases, stripes are shaped into extreme waves using the same technique as the Petal Cowl pattern but with more unusual shapes. It can be worked in 2 or more colors without any stranded or intarsia techniques so there are no strange loops on the wrong side and the wrap is very stretchy and drapey.
