This is the Corvus Scarf by Alasdair Post-Quinn / fallingblox designs and my first ever double knit project i ever did. I. Hecking. Love it. So much.

This HAS to be in my top three things i ever made. Its just such a gorgeous design and was extremely fun to work on.

I started this project over a year ago, when i was still pretty new to knitting, then put it aside and forgot about it until a few weeks ago. It was pretty fun to see how much easier it was for me to pick this back up again than back when i first started it.

Anyway. Someone stop me from jumping right into the next huge project head first. Please - this is a call for help /j

Completed cable scarf.

Constructed using aran weight handspun, fiber content being merino/pineapple/mulberry silk. Pattern is the Donwell Cable scarf by Lily Steeple.

IT ONLY TOOK SIX MONTHS BUT ITS FINISHED !!!

I realized FAR too late that the pattern was actually intended for fingering weight … and I used worsted (it was my first time following a pattern).

No regrets though, I will remember my error fondly and enjoy my hysterically thick and warm scarf.

It also amuses me that you can totally tell which end I started at because I got SO much better at colorwork, the biggest difference was learning about color dominance, staggering floats, and being consistent with knitting styles (I wanted to like English knitting but I fear I am just a continental enjoyer).

When I was in my first year of uni I knitted an interwoven scarf and the first time I wore it the woman at the reception desk said she really liked my scarf and I excitedly told her that I’d made it and she was so impressed she proceeded to fetch various colleagues and bring them out to the desk and inform them that I had made the scarf I was wearing and they were all really impressed too and honestly I don’t think I’ll ever peak like that again what a rush
