This is… quite the feast… all of this only for me? Are stomachs even capable of digesting this amount of food?

…I suppose we shall find out! What new discoveries await me!

This first one—“pocky”, the creature had referred to it. It is chocolate! I am familiar with chocolate, but how utterly different it is in a solid state. Paired with these thin breadsticks, I find it quite an enjoyable treat! It is sweet, yet not overbearingly so. It is a snack I favor highly.

A muffin! I believe I hath seen Herrah bake a collection of these some time ago. They are akin to cupcakes, yes?

Mmm… ‘Tis not nearly as sweet as I imagined a cupcake to be. Though it bears tiny bits of chocolate inside! How amusing! They are small bursts of one form of sweetness as I process the other, more subtle sweetness. ‘Tis unlike anything I hath experienced before!

Quite bold of thee to assume I hath not already consumed fog juice already, oho! It tastes as it always does. I have yet to experience any adverse effects from such—we shall see if that remains the case. This fried fog juice, however… quite different. It is savory! And crunchy! Utterly bizarre! It seems to accentuate the mistweed in a rather beautiful way, however disagrees quite intensely with the oil. ‘Tis… perhaps an acquired taste? I do enjoy it, though I shall be quite content remaining with my typical fog juice.

[Phantom surveys the other meals present before trying them. They grimace at the roach guts, before the expression briefly turns to concern, then anger. They then remove the plate from the table before continuing.]

So many savory meals… they are all rather similar, yet so different. I hadn’t the faintest idea flesh could taste so different between different bugs…

I quite like this here, this “burger”. What sort of meat is this…? Do I even wish to know? …Perhaps not. Incredible that all the components resting between the bread blend together into something… hmm. Rather indescribable—like a melody with no clear genre.

Confectionary! What an appropriate way to conclude! These berries here too, I should try those—AH! This one is bitter! I love it! So too is this chocolate-like treat… oh! It is called “dark chocolate”. What is the difference beyond taste? Are there other chocolate varieties I know not of? Regardless, this may perhaps be my favorite of these foods today. I wonder if it is possible to make hot chocolate from this?

…Oh. Oh I believe I am experiencing a stomachache for the first time. Cradle above that is painful. Holy Mother below—

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory is being taught by my master. My master was like a parent to me, and I valued her company greatly. Part of me wishes I could go back to that time.

ANYWAYS ONTO THE ACTUAL ASK

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Believing I was granted the luxury of a childhood? HA! You place too much faith in that monarch.

I suppose the closest equivalent would be the memories that remain from my time in the Citadel. My silken heart softens recalling my first collection of piano and organ lessons...even then, even all that time ago, there was a comfort in them that I could not find elsewhere.

Upon reminiscing, I believe my fondest memories would be those shared with the Second Sentinel. It participated in my pin training, yes, though frequently did I escape my tasks to go find it while it performed its duty. I believe a part of me knew its programming had it prioritize its own tasks over returning me to my own, ha!

Aha...ah, I say such, but what moments we shared...so much of Pharloom did we see together...I recall, there were multiple times when, after we had traveled quite the distance from the Citadel, I would manage to convince it to rest alongside me. We would simply just...sit. Take in the scenery. Discuss various matters.

...We realized how similar we were. Created by other beings to fulfill certain roles, and yet our hearts longed for more. ...Well-perhaps myself more than it, at least at that time, but the statement remains.

...Another memory comes to mind at your question, traveler. It is, ah, quite a different one; I find it to be one of my favorites not for its contents, but for its significance. It originates from after my assignment to the Organ. Specifically, it was when that age of loneliness and silence finally shattered.

It was the moment I discovered I had a sister.

Truth be spoken, it was quite a stressful moment. Lace learning there were silken children of that monarch before herself, myself learning she had crafted a replacement daughter after my discarding-it was a heavy load for both of us. However, even then, even in our first interaction...I cannot quite put it into words. There was some unspoken force that saw us connect with one another instantly. We should have hated one another, yet...

I...I cared for her. Even before she spoke a word did I know she was my kin. I knew I would do everything in my power to prevent her from sharing my fate.

I knew immediately I would unravel for her.

I’m glad you noticed the talent I am most skilled at!

I can make wingmoulds and buzzsaws, as my father taught me. I am not as obsessed with the buzzsaws as him, but they can do their job and keep out unwanted bugs. I am skilled in countless other things as well, it would take too long to name all of them!
