As a VIP member, In honor of the Crown and Flame Remake

I decided to completely ignore it and binge played the entire The Crown and The Flame series in one go.

I’ve restarted this series so many times without completing it, now after 8 years I finally know how it ends all thanks to my spiteful hatred for watered down, white washed, straight washed remakes

'My problem is less so with the fact that PB writes toxic LIs like in SR, WB, TCH, etc. It's generally not my cup of tea, but my issue is more with the fact that there is no warning at the start for these type of LIs. Some people fantasize about that type of stuff in fiction and that doesn't mean they think it's ok IRL, but there are also players who A) may be impressionable and B) may be triggered by these sort of behaviors. It's the reason AO3 has tags, and PB should be doing the same.'

pb what was that post ?? I mean it's cool y'all wanna be more diverse but I cannot stand gender/ethnicity custom lis. That's not helping with LGBT diversity or POC representation. Give us characters with real ethic routes. Give us sapphic characters. Give us lis that aren't just man/woman. Give us characters that aren't just the same thing as 18 other books. We want representation not just a bandaid.

I just want to say it seems that the majority of the fandom, from what I’ve personally seen, is not digging the idea of this next book, “The Nanny Affair” and I just want to say I can completely see and understand as to why. PB were putting out romance book after romance book after romance book for the longest time and when BOLAS & Distant Shore were annoumce we were so excited because it was going to be something different. Something exciting with mystery and just more than romance. Like romance is cool to have in a book but when it’s the soul of the book and storyline, it’s doesn’t to me at least, make the book worthy of reading. Real life, for most, isn’t us waking up and kissing/being intimate with people all day, everyday. It’s just not. Personally, I’ve taken to taking my favourite characters and writing short stories with them in it and curating playlists to help me create what I wish I could see. Personally I LOVE the true crime, sci-fi, mystery type books.

Wishful Thinking

Blades of Light & Shadow

Distant Shores

The Heist: Monaco

Veil of Secrets

Open Heart

Because they’re engaging. You have to find treasures/clues/recruit new members to your crew. Your decisions carry more weight in the story and DRASTICALLY change the outcome in most cases. Where as the romance books are just MEH, I don’t enjoy them anymore. They’re stale now. There’s nothin to them because it’s the same storyline over and over again just different characters. It’s boring. After Bolas, Distant Shores and Open Heart have finished. If there’s nothing worth reading there I may have to take a break from the app/platform because I just can’t physically put myself through the “oh look! They cheated.” or the “I love you. Do you love me? Let’s get married” stuff anymore.

Baby Bump’s MC. I hope she doesn’t end up as annoying as the Save The Date MC. I’m not terribly irked by PB’s NormCore additions but at least make the MCs and/or LIs likable!

Markus is the one who sent us to the desert. Although there's a VERY small possibility the guys who set it up messed with the steam room, I think it's more probable that Markus bugged the room himself. We know his methods are unconventional.
