tumblr finally added the option to sort likes by oldest.
i made this tumblr for a storytelling app that, for all intents and purposes, is gone. pixelberry’s choices was so good i had to make a fan blog about it. something i’d never done for any media that captivated me.
all the old desire & decorum, the freshman, the royal romance, red carpet diaries, it lives, bloodbound, perfect match, the crown & the flame, endless summer, the haunting of braidwood manor, veil of secrets, platinum, a courtesan of rome posts are taking me back to how surprisingly good all these books were. how much i loved experiencing them with other people on here.
when we all thought ride or die and mother of the year were going to be terrible cash grabs but ended up being more profound and engaging than any of us anticipated.
the fandom was so alive. i’m reading old fics that inspired me to write my own. choices was seriously one of the most rewarding media with some of the most memorable stories i’ve ever been told.
one by one me and my mutuals left as the writers and staff we came to love left, too. we all kind of moved on. now i hardly remember which mutuals started out as choices readers except when a surprise damien nazario or olivia nevrakis post comes across my dash.
it’s a genuine shame what the app has become but the present doesn’t erase what i got to experience. the characters. the writing. the surprising togetherness we all got from a game that you play on your own. what a treasure trove.
