So, my first anime was Yugioh and I really liked Bakers (not the evil one). He was just really sweet and innocent plus the English dub gave him a British accent for no reason...

Ok so I can’t seem to find a character with that name on the yugioh character list but yugioh is also another classic that people around me rave about so much👀

And about dubs giving character accents that’s one thing that always make me go ?????lol when I stumble upon clips of anime dubs because it’s just odd that characters with no distinct accent are given an accent like ifs supposed to elevate their character? For example I heard that Shirabu got a vaguely british(?) accent and was just confused. Idk I guess I just have strong feelings about how accents are used in dubs or translations I guess.
