1440p capture of my PC demo Shaderland::Swizzle's Journey on Youtube and Newgrounds!

Shaderland is a a puzzle programming game about creating a world of pixels. You learn computer graphics by guiding polygonal creatures through a world made of logic, in pursuit of an occultist hacker.

This demo was created for the Revision demoparty using a custom animation system I built on top of Shaderland, with the music kindly provided by Pumpuli (bandcamp, demozoo).

It received 12th place in the PC Demo compo (full stream). I spent the train journey to Revision making the big logo that you see at 1:28, and wrote the perilous rotating cube late at night during the party!

The whole game's built in a pretty from-scratch way, with the Rust language, wgpu and Iced. The node graphs generate shader programs which calculate the colour of each pixel, and the same programs are used to simulate Swizzle. Getting close to the demo release - writeup and ongoing devlogs starting soon... so, until then!

Avarslund - A PC demo of a cancelled Fairlight Remake by Richard Jordan

thanks to a friendly heads up via Twitter, we've been told the famous 8-bit Adventure classic of 'Fairlight', which appeared on the Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum and as an Atari XL/XE conversion. Is now available to download as a cancelled PC Remake demo called ' Avarslund '.

Coming (about 5 times) Out On Top Review.

Well spank my ass and call me Georgina! This game had been sitting on my Steam wishlist since before it was even available on Steam and all I can say is WHY DIDN’T I BUY IT SOONER!? Coming out on top is the perfect mix of funny, smart and sexy. It made me laugh and on my first play through of the story it made me cum 5 times, and I didn’t even get any of the particularly sexy outcomes, choosing to play the game safe and sincere. Now I should say that the Steam version of the game is censored, but thankfully there is an official patch on the games website to uncensor it. (Link below) As for the story, I don’t want to spoil too much for any potential players out there but as with other dating sims there are different men to try and woo. Ranging from you’re best friend you’ve known for years to your upstairs neighbour who likes to host “Adult Parties” to your college lecturer (Which for the life of me I cant figure out how to get him to take me right there on his desk). There are a lot of different things to do in the game, from tutoring to save up money, studding to pass your exams, or breaking out “Bro Finder”, the in game version of grindr, to meet up with different guys for a bit of fun on the side of the main routes. And all these things  contribute to shaping the over all story. Another great feature of the game is using the scroll wheel on your mouse to be able to rewind and make a different choice which is great if you're an achievement hunter and want to follow multiple routes to get specific achievements  or, if you’re like me, and when faced with an option such as what would happen if I had sex for money, you want to explore all avenues to see the different outcomes. (Momma always said if you’re good at something, never do it for free) Another feature I want to mention, because I think it just adds so much to the game is in the options menu you are given options to chose body hair and facial hair not only for your character but for all available partners in game which just helps mould them to your fantasy, whether you want him, with a beard and a rug of curly hair upon his chest you can nuzzle into or you want him smooth and twink like. There is also the option to have yourself and/or partner use protection or not. And it’s little things like this which really make this game for me.

Overall the game just hit all the right notes for me, at times being sweet and other times being down right FILTHY. I was lucky enough to pick it up in the winter Steam sale, but if I had known before how good a game this was I would have been more than willing to have paid full price for it.
