Dr Who Casting Choice
Dr Who has had its ups and down, and the BBC choice to have a female doctor is the wrong one. I am a long time fan of the show, and have notice that a lot of those who are celebrating are what have been New Gen fans, people who have only ever seen the the updated version, from 9th onward.
They haven’t seen it from its first tottering steps with William Hartnell as the 1st doctor. they didn’t see his regeneration and enemies and often odd personality choices.
If they want a women doctor so bad then bring back Jenny from the Doctors Daughter(S4 E6) and follow her adventures, but don’t shoe horn a women in because ‘its time for one’ or ‘exploring his femininity’.
The female doctor is an attempt to pull in a wider audience. its political correctness at its absolute worst and i have come to a worrying realization that a lot of those celebrating the introduction aren’t actual fans of the show, but those pushing an agenda.
Dr Who is a man. He always has been. He always will be. It is a fact many are trying to eradicate.
I am editing to ad another point that a male dr who was a brilliant role model for young men on how a man should behave. respectfully and kind to all no matter the race, gender, sexuality or species. by making him a her we lose a male role model in a genre (sci fi) that seems to have way to few good male roll models.
"Thank God we have tireless defenders of free speech like Phil in this country." said Terry Arsehole, thick-necked prick-at-large, when Pointless Letters reached out for comment. "That's if you're even allowed to say God nowadays, without some PC Leftie jumping down your throat. If you ask me, this country started to go downhill when they wouldn't let you say 'darkies' anymore."
