We form community* in direct proportion to our collective vulnerability and acceptance of one another. This appears to be true regardless of whether an intention to form community exists or not. It's a mammalian thing...we just have to let go of whatever is in the way of being vulnerable and accepting others. ⠀ ⠀ As a veterinarian told me today, "once a dog accepts you, you're in....it's not complicated in the way humans allow their insecurities and egos to block vulnerability and acceptance....they sniff each others butts and after that they're fine with one another."⠀ ⠀ *In this context, community is defined relationally.
