Hmm. It got taken down but there was a post about how trans men shouldn’t, as a rule, feel a connection to their younger pre-transition selves / femininity. I don’t have the screen shot and I was kinda distracted but I perceived an uncomfortable “these people are making us look bad” / “aren’t you embarrassed” / “harm yourself if you do this” / “I am going to commit violence if I see any more of this” bend to it.

Frankly that’s not your call to make. You have no control over what another person experiences in their OWN gender journey. That is truly transmed “if you don’t deeply hate yourself you’re not really trans” shit.

Be nice to your transgender siblings, even if you don’t understand their experience. They are not you. Their self identification does not affect you. Thanks.

I completely agree it’s unwarranted for people to dogpile or go looking for fights, but I don’t think a bunch of people saying, “hey that’s not cool” is harassment. Not saying some people don’t have an explicitly transmisogynistic agenda, but stop generalizing that we’re just emotional weak women I mean shitty childish men whose only gender euphoria comes from being misogynistic. Maybe we’re just trans and want to be respected for the identities we can’t change.

Transandrophobia as a theory does not and has never implied

1) We are treated worse than trans women

2) All, a majority of, or even most of our problems are caused by trans women

It has only ever meant that we have a different, intersectional struggle influenced by both our transness and our masculinity. Not that men are the real victims, or that women actually have it better, but that there are ways in which our transmasculine bodies and identities are politicized in ways affected by anti-masculine sentiments. About men being gross, and violent, and uncontrollable monsters.

Our goal of self determination and liberation is in absolutely no way analagous to women-hating gamergate style MRAs. Cut the oppositional shit out and stop mapping cis gender dynamics onto trans people 1:1

We just want to live as ourselves and be respected for our identities, not put down for them. You know, like any other type of trans person.
