What Peachy did was cosplay as Inej Ghafa from the Six of Crows duology.

Except it wasn't because she choose to cosplay an oversexualized version of Inej, a survivor of human trafficking and sexual slavery and oh also a goddamn 16 year old.

Peachy is a white woman, Inej Ghafa is a brown girl. Absolutely nothing wrong with cosplaying characters of a different race, however P decided to make people KNOW it's Inej she'd add some thick kohl liner around her eyes and a nose ring, as an excuse telling us she based her cosplay on fanart from Kevin Wada.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing to add to your cosplay. It just irks me because many (white) authors tend to make this and slightly tan skin the only physical indicators of their character being a brown woman. Otherwise they have typical western beauty standard-features.

In all honestly had it not been for her explicitly writing down that this was supposed to be a cosplay of Inej I wouldn't have fucking known lol It could've been aEliN for all I know because that's a canonically sexualized joke of an "assassin" that peachy loves to cosplay anyway.

when confronted about this issue BY WOMEN OF COLOR who were telling her why what she was doing was offending them, why it was not okay for her to do it and why they felt the way they felt PEACHY chose to be manipulative as fuck. Pulling up with "Oh I never wanted to hurt anyone but i don't see anyone else cosplay her?? In a way, you should be thankful that i'm cosplaying her at all. I am also giving you people a platform to voice your concerns because i am so tolerant and inclusive but i will choose to ignore them because I want to depict sexy Inej" (not her actual words obviously, but along the lines.)

At one point she started deleting negative/critisizing comments 🤡

While her loyal supporters kept commenting how this was "exactly how they imagined Inej all along" how she is a "perfecr inej" and "should play her in a live action" etc

After all it looks fucking cheap and ugly not sorry lmao
