Snowcapped Peaks Near Llano, Green in the Antelope Valley Today

I wish I could post some crazy superbloom photos, but I just have snowcapped peaks, a curving trail (there were many), and a few little wildflowers off the side of the road. Maybe I’ll get another chance to go out to the Antelope Valley while the poppies are still in full bloom, or maybe I’ll just post our mountain poppies when they start up here. Ours are always later because we still have freezes into late May.

The environment out in the desert was vibrant and green today. There was a lake off the side of the 14 in Lancaster and green grass and plants everywhere. Just east of the place I snapped a photo of the snowy mountains, a wash that is normally dry was running with water under the highway. The desert hardly looked like a desert at all with the abundant rain we have received this season.

Pearblossom is a grey cat with white blossoms, green leaves, and pink pollen caught in their fur. 

It’s hard to hold a conversation with Pearblossom, as they tend to be quiet and a bit distracted. They’d much rather be out in the flowers than stuck in a group. They’re nice to be around if you just want to relax in the presence of a friend.
