VA YOUTUBER D&D NEEDS TO BE UPON US

If VA YouTubers did D&D together, it might just be the most legendary thing ever, so let me make predictions:

Yuurivoice would be either a warlock or a wizard and would absolutely cast the funniest fucking spells, out of spite. He’d be lore-oriented, but at some point he’s get a little too serious and get silly OR he’d be a lawful neutral cleric according to my bug army D&D analysis bestie. I think he’s chaotic neutral, might just be me. He would undoubtedly be a cleric though. If he was a wizard, like I originally said, his ass would be casting a fireball any chance he gets.

Escaped would be a barbarian, let me cook, okay? I’m sure he could also be the DM, but he would TRAUMATIZE the party mark my fucking words. Anyway, he’d be chaotic evil, maybe chaotic good, but bro has not shown remorse for Crow or Chronus Seven and I haven’t forgiven him yet(could be chaotic neutral but hmmmmm). But he would have a giant two headed axe, bear with me now.

Escaped also gives me hella Astarion vibes but that might just be because of NIFODD. . .

I would love to tell you my ideas for PebblesASMR, because he is not free from me either lmao. I asked the bug army and got the response that he’d be a lawful evil, earth genasi sorcerer. Now, I don’t believe he’d be lawful evil, maybe lawful neutral? But I have a funny ass idea so here it is. Instead of being a normal player, I feel he’d just be a sentient sorcerer pebble with googly eyes. He would sit on Escaped’s shoulder and they would scheme or some shit. Believe it, I say those two would get along like a house on fire.

They would cook up some scheme and do the funniest of shenanigans together(someone please draw this it would be funny as all hell) and if Pebbles was an earth Genasi sorcerer and Escaped was a Barbarian, what do y’all think would happen? Me personally, the world would never see peace, or know it, ever again. The unbeatable duo that I’ve literally NEVER SEEN INTERACT LIKE WHAT.

Obi would be a Dragonborn, chaotic good. I’d say he’d be a true neutral warlock, maybe chaotic neutral or good neutral if you give him Zef or Timmy’s charms. In his Baldur’s gate, he’s a bard and he’s true neutral, however I have an idea of who would be the bard of the group. Who is his patron? I literally have no idea I’d say Bella (because the divines series has me in a chokehold rn and I can’t remember D&D gods) but maybe they have ideas? Anyway, Obi as a dragonborn is an elite masterpiece I came up with after listening to some TROY and getting in my ✨vibes✨. Would be peak and elite. Change my mind.

MAGE IT’S YOUR TURN NOW FACE YOUR FATE. *rubs hands together evilly* I’ve cooked up something for you—

Mage would be. . .either a neutral-evil wizard (harness your inner mlp friendship is magic) and would be a schemer (messing with folks for the fun of it{translation: traumatizing the masses}) OR Druid Wizard multi class, still neutral evil. Or as stated by you, *clear throat* a human spell caster named Captain Salad. From the old and noble Salad family. And her name isn’t captain she just doesn’t like her first name and thinks captain is a cool moniker. Her tactics involve throwing fireballs from a big stick at everything (amen would do the same tbh what a queen) and the stick isn’t even necessary she just found a branch.

Hear me on this ASMR VA Community, M would be a true neutral fighter monk multi class. I have nothing else to say but that they’d slay, literally. Would beat people up and not break a SINGLE sweat. Would also ironically be the peacekeeper, because this group is full of chaos and they seem the most sane?

Anyway, ShiningArmorASMR is up next and man would undoubtedly be a chaotic neutral, Artificer. My good sir gives me the most Arcane vibes out of everyone on this list. Inventor? Yes. Magic? Yes. Dude will channel the arcane as a master of invention and will be fashionable while doing it. Now, Ellis could be chaotic neutral, that would also make sense too.

Siren, Siren, Siren. SIREN’S SON TIME! He’d be either: A. A chaotic good/neutral bard, and I think he’d carry a lute, not a lyre, although he does give EPIC Apollo vibes. B. A chaotic good Druid. C. A lawfully evil bard. He really just gives me Halsin vibes from BG3 and actuslly has a fae character who has a SHOCKINGLY SIMILAR LOOK to Halsin. Coincidence, you say? I think not but okay.

Kabuya is him in Baldur’s gate. Warforged Barbarian, lawfully neutral (cuz of Biggs). Maybe a rogue if not a barbarian? In my mind, barbarian is obvious, as is being lawfully neutral, but along with M, he’d keep the peace in the group, just differently. He’d keep the peace by either a, glaring, or b, threats with a sledgehammer(that would be peak don’t lie or disagree). Either way, he’d be chiller? Probably one of the more logical ones within the party.

I have seen one of Scythe’s videos. It was a GOTCHA one. I’m planning on getting into his series but here’s what I’ve collected so far. Chaotic neutral/evil necromancer. His videos are very much horror esc, and hear me out when I say that man would rise an army of the undead to win a battle or simply put, a bet or wager.

As for GoodBoyAudios, who I am also planning on listening to! Fonzie thinks that he’d a a true neutral (added by critical roll) bloodhunter.

Atonal ASMR is a true neutral. I think that he might be a wizard of sorts? I’m honestly confused for him but I think he’d also keep a little peace in the group, but if he was a warlock instead of a wizard,(and keep with me) he’d be dedicated to the star god in his series. Even if it’s not canon to D&D I’m tired and it’s midnight and this is pure ideas and spite.

Nomads Tales & Audios, your time has come. A ranger, he’d be a ranger. Either lawful evil OR lawful neutral. He might not be keeping the peace within the group, but he’s going to have Deacons’ and Conners’ humor.

Finally, Daysprite would be a chaotic good Dragonborn sorcerer. Haven’t heard much from them YET! So I can’t do much judging, however, them as a Dragonborn would be sick as hell and a sorcerer kind of makes sense for them. Might just be their vibes.

I remember awhile ago an anon over on audio roleplay confessions mentioned how in audio roleplays the audience seems to forget the 'roleplay' aspect of this type of media. As in you're playing a 'role' of a character in whatever series you're listening to and people tend to forget that when said listener character does something they deem as out of character for themselves.

It got me thinking and I've noticed that I really enjoy it when the listener characters have more defining personality traits and a bit of backstory! It's a much more engaging experience to listen to, especially if the listener character has a lot of their own flaws shown in the writing. I've also noticed that in this specific genre of content, a lot of creators are very hesitant to give any negative traits to the listener character other than faint sweetness and a blank slate that the audience can project their own characters on to.

I'm not going to bash anyone who likes this style of writing with what's supposed to be a self insert, but at some point it does get boring when their default actions in every other video falls back onto those same characteristics. I know it can be limiting especially since the listener is basically the y/n of audios and they want to be inclusive. But when creators realize that they don't need to confine themselves creatively with this, it's a much more fun experience for them AND the audience.

A great example of this type of listener character is Dennys from Escaped Audios. What I really liked about her is that she's a bit of a hot mess, an alcoholic, implusive, has lowkey anger issues, the type of girl that could absolutely give you a mean left hook and overall a character that 'says' and does INTERESTING! THINGS!! You don't know much about her but that's where you, the audience, can insert your own details in because you have the bases of her personality shown through out the My Greasefire Life series to use to blossom your own creativity!

Another example of this is Darlin' from Redacted Audios, you can tell right off the bat through the first few episodes what kind of person they are. They're hard headed, stubborn, distant, a fighter who cares heavily for the very few people they trust and love. Not only that, we're given a bit of backstory of WHY they're like this but it's vauge enough so that the audience can still put themselves in the shoes of Darlin'. It suits so well with the story line because they have depth!

A few more honorable mentions I'd like to also add in is Faithful from Good Boy Audios, Casper from YuuriVoice, the villain listener in Fall of Titans from Pebbles ASMR, etc etc. I know it can be difficult to pull this off without someone complaining that it's not immersive, but people are always going to have something to say whether that be negative or positive. Have fun with it and explore those options!

I saw someone post their fandom list earlier and it made me think, I haven’t posted a good list in a while. So, here is a pic of my current artists I’ve been listening to most. The only one that isn’t a typical asmrtist is Bliss Ilaira, that channel is mostly My Hero Academia text stories, but they still have a “listener” character.

These are all genuinely wonderful creators who have hours of upon hours of fantastic immersive content! I recommend every single one of them! They all have a wide variety of audios with characters I adore!!! I know a few of them are here on Tumblr, please check them out!!! Idk about you guys but its been hard tryna find some good series that don't involve just kissing but have a nice build-up to the relationship!! 💕 My Thoughts: I absolutely love this series! It was one of the first bf asmrs I've ever listened to and it always gives me butterflies whenever I relisten to the audio series. The first episode is essentially about how you visit your best friend named Alex's house to see them only to find Alex's older brother opening the door to tell you that Alex isn't here. Then Alex's older brother invites you in and you share a drink which leads to unexpected things to be revealed..!! The tension of your best friend potentially finding out about the relationship was REAL and the tension grows even more as the series progresses. PLUS Phasmid's deep British accent is not only hot (😻) but soo relaxing. Highly recommend this series if your looking for friends to lovers, tension, a deep british accent and is a binge worthy series cause this series only has 3 episodes.

2 -Trapped with your Scottish Tsundere Bully [M4A]

Series Overview: "Another busy day draws to a close as you prepare to head to your final class only to be ambushed by David; the Scottish exchange student, Football team running back and the bane of your existence. However, today he seems... off. Something's bothering him, you can tell. And as he drags you through the corridors to speak with you, you have a feeling you're going to find out what it is soon enough..."

💕 My Thoughts: THIS SERIES IS ACTUALLY SO FIRE! David is such a cutie pie and I think of him all the time!! This series is sort of like a sports romance because we follow David who is an exchange student from Scotland (so he has a Scottish accent which might I say: IS SO CUTE JAHSKHSA) who is trying to get better grades so that he can graduate high school and get those football scholarship offers he's been receiving. But the problem is that he has to first graduate but it isn't looking too promising for him until he meets YOU. The class topper and the person he kindaa bullies from time to time... But he asks for your help and u reluctantly help him out. Lemme just say that Pebbles (aka the voice of David) is an AMAZING scriptwriter and this whole series was just so funny but also heartwrenching to listen. PLUS THE VOICE ACTING IN THIS SERIES IS GRAMMY WORTH. There are other voice actors in this series too which is even cooler! AND DAVID'S NICKNAME FOR THE LISTENER IS SHORTSTACK!! SO CUTE >U<! Its a nickname he uses throughout the series and when someone tries to call you the same nickname repeatedly to annoy David...lets say he gets a little overprotective and things go south (can't spoil it for yall 😌) Overall, this series is great if your looking for enemies to lovers, sports romance and DRAMAA

3 -Starline SERIES [M4A]

Series Overview: "Part one of a romance series between the listener and a peculiar alien. After waking up on his ship, you realize that due to circumstances, you are not getting back to Earth so soon. Not before this stranger completes his mysterious job. With a whole new universe you had not even heard of before now just hours away, who knows what to expect? Not a soul could tell you, but maybe your new friend can show you the way. And your new friend. . . Perhaps there is more to him than what meets the eye?"

💕 My Thoughts: HEAR. ME. OUT. I know sometimes alien romances aren't everyone's cup of tea and I get it. I was just like you. UNTILL THIS AUDIO SERIES!! Because why is this series so stinking cute and had me at the edge of my seat cause of all the ACTION! THERE WERE TIMES WERE I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA LOSE BRECKETT 😭😭 But feelings aside, this series follows your adventure with this alien named Breckett who...uh...kinda accidentally crashed his spaceship on top of u 😃. Listen I didn't get that part either and how we are still alive but its alr cause he somehow patched us up in his high-tech medical bay aboard his spaceship. Alien technology is wacky shit 😭. Anyways Breckett informs you that you sadly cannot go back to earth just yet because he has a mission he was sent out to do on Mars and other planets so going back to Earth would only make him lose precious time. So now you're stuck with him on this crazy ass adventure with dodging asteroid storms, outsmarting intergalactic pirates and you two will have to FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVESSS!! Overall, this series is sooo funny, soo eventful and if you're looking for a good SLOOW BURN (and I mean slow girl but soo worth it),Strangers to lovers and sci fi vibes then you'd love this series!

4 -Your Childhood Crush Is Kind Of An Idiot [M4A]

Series Overview: "Charlie's first day at Sweet Pete's Pizzeria has been less than great, but when a familiar face pulls up on a familiar skateboard, he has a decision to make! Be a little rat filled with regret, or…apologizes"

This series follows your reunion with your old childhood best friend Charlie who works at a pizzeria. You haven't seen each other since graduating high school...until now! When you see each other again old feelings unravel and Charlie now doesn't want to stay out of touch with you anymore so you two decide to meet up at a skatepark after his shift. I can't express how much I love this little rat 😭❤️ He is the epiphany of cuteness and I can't tell u how many times I've listened to the series. I loovee his little Brooklyn accent too!! Also note that Charlie does make little references to this other series that Yuurivoice (aka the voice of charlie) made and you actually don't have to watch that other series to understand this one so dw! Overall I STINKING LOVE THIS SERIES and would actually say its my favorite asmr series I've ever listened too :D. If you're looking for childhood best friends to lovers, slow burn, FUNNY ASS DIALOGUE, wanting to dip ur toe into the yuurivoice universe then this series is 4 u!
