I wish we got to see Yue interact more with her dad,, my hc is that they had a very strained relationship; he knew that she would die young, his wifes presumably dead so shes all he has but shes a soon-to-be-dead daughter and not a son

He loved her and tried to care for her but was distant there was always that looming tragedy hanging over and they both felt it. Like everytime he would look at her, he'd only see a corpse

Then u add the patriarchal society putting a wedge between them as not like he could pass down any of his skills, prepare her for any responsibilities, just pass her off to the women to do that

I hc that Yue's slightly unhinged only being held back by her responsibilities/etiquette, so she finds (reformed) Azula's *azulaness* endearing, theyll be at some official meeting and Yue will be internally giggling and twirling her hair while Azula insults officials

Yue would fall first, shes way more open and in tune with her feelings than Azula

Azula would fall harder, shes obsessive so once she catches feelings itd spiral fast

I've been thinking of this whole au where yue survives and joins the gang for a bit, her whole arc would be her exploring herself outside of all her ~royal responsibilities~ with a whole episode of toph and katara teaching her how to fight

(her and sokka would maybe get together a bit but i see her breaking things off since she had men and romance forced on her for her whole life)

Id see her hanging with them for s2 but deciding not to go to the fire nation and probs just hitch a ride with the earth king to explore and probs take him on a tour of NWT

Sokkas so funny like dude hangs out with the avatar, got kidnapped to the spirit world, had his girlfriend turn into the moon but he draws the line at a talking tree
