Consumerism
Thinking upon the topic of consumerism it really baffles me how it is so prosperous in our society today. I have heard a statement saying that with all our discoveries and understandings of the world and how things work we have minimized the amount of wondering that could be had and curiosity about the world and things for possible consideration. This combined with steady need and want for wonder and adventure combined with newness and excitement inevitably would lead us to seek other means of activity to divulge ourselves in. Consequently we have modern day consumerism. With the apparent lack and steady declination of mystery, we divert our attention to new and ‘exciting’ things. To fulfill our need of exploration we seek the new products and gain a sense of fulfillment from them.
