RESEARCH // SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS
A picture of an egg was Instagram's most liked photo ever - has been used to promote a mental-health campaign. The egg, known as Eugene, has now cracked after "feeling the pressure" of all the attention it's received. A message posted alongside the broken egg advises people to seek help if they feel the same way. More than 52 million people have now liked the original picture, which was posted in January.
The ad is very effective as the humour of the egg – as it turned out – had an upbeat and optimistic message. While the egg might “crack” under the pressure of social media, there was a way for even it to get help. And a way for all of us to preserve and protect our mental health.
Social media made a difference. In this age of social media, I believe it's a fantastic opportunity to get any message about mental health out to a wide audience. I want to see if I could do this in my project, conveying a important message through social media.
so much to the peer-pressure ;)

please, i am hereby requesting all the parents, DON’T DESTROY YOUR CHILD’S DREAM IN A ROBOTIC WORLD... PLEASE! it makes them vulnerable irrespective of high integrities you give them. let them be different. afterall, IT’S GOOD TO BE DIFFERENT BUDDIES :)
STAY BLESSED, BE HAPPY ;) :) <3
Peer Pressure on Investments
In the last blog, the first of the series of blogs on investment 101, I discussed how you should never react hastily to the persuasion by others when it comes to investment. At the same time, never delay to do research about the investment advice and have the right mindset by controlling your inner thought that is urging you to take action. To limit the size of the blog, today, I will write about how the peer pressure affects investment.
Peer pressure is something that one would be compelled to imitate what others are doing without rational thinking. It is beneficial to a certain extent, but it’s negative effects are more apparent. Basically, you block your rational thoughts and trust others judgment as you may have high regards to the other person or to a group based on their expertise that you learned about them. There are two issues here: 1. The person may be truly successful but you may not be able to exactly follow the same set of actions that the person was doing to attain success, 2. You may not be aware of the failures the person went thru but, you see one side of the coin and judge by the shining side of it. For example, the person might have made X dollars profit on the investment but you might not have heard that how many X dollars he would have lost before he made his profit. The point that I want to emphasize here is the lemming's mentality in the investment is always bad and it is easy for people to get swayed by their wishful thinking.
In the next blog, we will see how the emotions and emotional connections play a role the investment. I appreciate your feedback and comments either on the blog here or in WhatsApp.
Peer-Pressure Writing Methods
My magazine is about being more mindful and that includes thinking twice before making a purchase, so I’m trying to be careful not to use language that conveys to the audience that life won’t be good if they don’t have a specific item, e.g. “Must-have items!” or ” “These are the pieces you need in your closet!”
When you're in school, people are always telling you; it's bad to succumb to peer-pressure, and that people who pressure you into doing something you're unsure of are NOT your real friends.
In the cosplay community it's slightly different (in the nicest way)...
Friend 1: I need [insert item here] to complete my cosplay, but I can't justify spending that much money!
Friend 2: Doooooo it!! You'll look so awesome when you're done and you'll be so happy because you took that risk!
Friend 1: *still unsure* ...Ok. *does the thing* Ok, I've bought the thing.
Friend 2: YAAAAAASSSS!!
Friend 1: YAAAAAASSSS!! OhgodwhydidIdothat?!
*months later*
Friend 1: I completed my cosplay, I'm so happy with it!
Friend 2: Yes! Yes! You look awesome and perfect! Aren't you happy you bought the thing?!
Friend 1: OMG yes! You were so right! Thank you!
^ The people who put you under this kind of peer-pressure are totally your friend.
so herd u wanna write some undertale fanfic; do it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
