The lovely eliapolis tagged me for these questions, and I haven't been posting much lately so I feel like it was so kind of you!

1. Why did you choose your url? I wanted it to be the same as my AO3 author name, but I had to tack on "ff" because keeptheearthbelow was already claimed. (I think whoever that is has been tagged in promptsinpanem a couple times, lol.) And I chose keeptheearthbelow as my author name because I figured picking song lyrics I like was a decent way to go, and I'm pretty fond of "Below My Feet" by Mumford and Sons. Uh, this is all kind of dorky as to why I like it: I feel like there's a sense of place in it, which is something that's really important to me. And I felt like it expresses a sentiment that Katniss might, and for all I do share the Peeta love in this fandom, I'm really here for Katniss. And also, I have to say, this song performed in concert looks just like the image I had in my mind, so that's fun too.

2. What is your middle name? Megan.

3. If you could choose a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be? Oh lord. Possibly Manchee from the Chaos Walking series, sans (let me avoid spoilers) some plot elements. He is just the most wonderful dog.

4. Favorite color? Blue. And if I'm going to be Peeta-ish about it, cobalt blue.

5. Favorite song? Do people actually pick a favorite song for, like, their whole lives? Because I have never known how to answer this.

6. What are your top three fandoms? Hunger Games right now, obviously. But I was a very serious member of the Star Wars fandom for a long time, and I still love it despite the crappy turn that the movies and the books took, and that was my first internet fandom experience. (theforce.net, anyone? Mara Jade Fan Club. The drama when the admins recategorized our thread from one forum to another, oh my.) And Harry Potter, I think, has to count, though that was mostly a real-life fandom experience. I used airline miles to fly across the country to go to the premiere of Deathly Hallows with my college friends, and that was a fantastic time.

7. Why do you enjoy tumblr? Because of you guys! Because it's full of people who are smart and kind and supportive of each other and amazingly creative and thoughtful. I learn a lot, and I care about people's stories and I like seeing what people are interested in. (I missed that, after my little community on theforce.net withered away all those years ago.) It's really interesting what this medium does for people and for the information they/we want to share. I wish I had a little more time for tumblr and for following more people, but my god do I get easily overwhelmed.
