Fr Leon Poeplau - a Polish Catholic priest. He was the Commander in Chief of the ‘Sword and Plow’ Movement (Miecz i Pług): anti-Nazi and anti-communist conspiratorial military organization. It was established in October 1939 by the group of pre-war military men and national Christian activists.
World Book Day: Gutenberg Bible (in Poland)
There’s only one copy of Gutenberg’s “42-line Bible” in Poland. It’s located in Diocesian Museum in Pelplin---a small city in Pomerania Province, about an hour of drive from Gdańsk.
What’s so special about this copy? On the card no. 46 recto* there’s a small blot (25 x 7 mm), made by a type that accidentally fell out of the frame. That means we know what was the type’s height: 25 mm.

(more info and 42-line Bible on-line: British Library, Gutenberg Digital)
*that means: on the right-hand side of the book, as opposed to verso (the left-hand side); we won’t say it’s a page, in regards to incunabula and old printed books the term cards is used so we’d write “46r”.
