November 12, 2022 - Lowland Peltops (Peltops blainvillii) Found on the island of New Guinea, these birds live at the edges of lowland rainforests and in clearings. They hunt insects in short flights from high perches, usually foraging in groups of three or four. They build small cup-shaped nests from twigs and rootlets in trees at the edges of clearings.
