Pendog creative library miss hecate theory
Okay so at this point we know miss hecate was popular in taking different forms with the first being miss hecate, then the second being helena Troy in the 1960’s, then Harmonia in the current update in the 70's.
So that means the timeline of miss hyecate's form is as follows.....
1940ish to 1950-Miss hecate = form opf rubber house women
1960's-helena troy =makeup beauty brand icon
1970's-harmonia = animated member of a hippie band
So to me since she shows up in any major update we are most like lt to see her show up again and again in the 80's, 90's and at least the late 20oo's as she is a threat that is always trying to get back in the lime light. So we should expect to see her as a popular type of cartoon in each time era.
So my theory is based off the following information....
1980's-In this time era (where my parents grew up) action cartoons were extremely popuylar such as transformers, the orginal tmnt, the original she-ra, thundercats, etc.
1990's-(when my baby sitters were raised in as a kid)-more comedic and less action packed cartoons with less instake. Rather fun was the main focus. Such can be seen through examples my babysitters watched such as Ren and Stempy, ducktales, Rugrats, etc.
2000's-Despite growing up in this era it's kinda hard to explain. Truth be told I just watched barbie and all girly ones so idk what was really that popular.
So my theory is we should see hecate in possible these forms in the following time eras....
80's-We should see her in an action hero form based off of Shepra as this type of cartoon allows for much merchandising between both genders as in my parent's experience little girls wanted she-ra toys to get a chance top have a female hero, and according to my dad some little boys bought she-ra toys to add to their action figure collection. This would allow hecate to try and spread through merchandise again, which like always ends in chaos.
90's-a more relaxed cartoon where there is less action and a less overarching story. In fact I think we should expect to see something like a spongebob cartoon where we follow her in her new form's everyday life with slapstick comedy.
2000's-This one I'm not entirely sure but, i personally believe as this is when I remember seeing the most amount of shows for doll brand we should expect to see Hecate in the form of a doll merchandising show similar to the barbie movies or even winx club!
Now Hecate has used H names in greek myths such as helena=helen of Troy, and Harmonia = Ares and Aphrodite's daughter. Yet, as you can tell they are less obscure ones so we shouldn't expect to see random nymph names as she seems to love picking known characters to take over the identity of (which makes sense in the context of the story as well, after all why pick a random women's name to take the place of when you can share a name with a memorable greek women that people rave about when discussing all parts of mythology and can think of within an instance!)
So this leaves the following options for names
Hestia = Greek goddess of the harth, home and of course all parts if domestique life.
Hera= queen of the god's, wife to zesus, vengful wife due to all her husband's cheating, etc.
Hebe= duaghter of zesus and Hera, gave ambrosia to gods to keep them young.
Hermione= This is another character from the fall of Troy, so0metimes describe as Helen's daughter and other times Clymenestra's daughter with her second husband.
the 80's-we will see hecate to a in a she-ra like form name Hebe. Possible we will see this characterization go on a quest to retrieve the stolen ambrosia from the clutches of evil.
The 90's-I expect we will see the more relaxed cartoonish story where we follow the everyday life of the newest ideation, whom is possibly named Hestia. I imagine she would pick the more neutral/relaxed goddess for this time era as cartoons here are more about having fun, hence you would wanna be seen as a more neutral god.
finally the 2000's - this could possible see her take on a new form to sell dolls/more products again once the action figures fall through in the 80's under the name of Hermione.
As for Hera, this is where I'm unsure. I would like to say it would be the 2000's but, for some reason that doesn't exactly feel right.
But hey that's just a theory. I'm sure I'm pretty off honestly. But either way, i would recommend look at the blog page of @pendogcreative as updates of new character designs and ideas come up! SO far this is a captivating project that has me on the edge of my seat that has me theorizing to the moon and back lol!
