bathroom nottingham, UK, january 2009 penique’s 3rd exhibition, the second at nottingham trent university, was an opportunity to showcase the limitless possibilities offered by the inflatable. the venue, a bathroom, was of key importance and lent the finished work its character, impeding its usual function to become a work of art. visitors easily related to the space and appeal lay in the original transformation of something every-day and familiar.
