Okay, while I’m grappling with my stupid pictures, some things about today’s practice-
1. Geno went out of his way to make sure I knew he read my sign. It was a very, very special moment for me and I’m not going to go into detail but I cried and it meant the world to me. I’m so fucking grateful to him today. Like, I just want to thank him for being such a good person and for doing what he did.
2. Hags. Is. So. Fast.
3. Geno. Is. So. Good.
4. Sidney is fucking amazing and fuck anyone who says otherwise.
5. Practice is truly interesting to watch. I really enjoyed it.
6. Matt took a puck to the face and it was scary. He was slow to recover and it scared me.
7. No Kessel on ice today but he was there. We saw him leave.
8. Geno whacked Hags in the junk with his stick and laughed his face off while Hags fell over into a tight fetal position and then looked up and yelled at Geno.
9. Big Rig fell and then looked at his skate like it betrayed him. He went off the ice to get it fixed.
10. Matt Murray swirling around the net is so cool.
11. I saw Beckham Murray today and it was every bit as exciting as seeing the team. I waved at him.
12. Sidney Crosby was so, so kind you guys. We waited outside for three hours after practice until he came out. (Us and maybe 15 or so others.) I got a sunburn and hadn’t eaten anything all day and every moment was worth it. I asked him if I could take a picture and then when I couldn’t get it in time, he had to pull up a bit but then turned and talked directly to me to make sure I got it and waited until my phone stopped being stupid. It was only a few seconds but Sidney Crosby didn’t have to wait that few seconds for me and he certainly didn’t have to stop to make sure I got that picture. He was so kind. Such a good guy.
13. Kris Letang is so good looking. Like. Oh my god.
14. Dumo has a tree in the back of his truck that has, apparently, been there for quite some time. It looks like a Christmas tree.
15. Conor is so short.
16. There was a high school kid there who skipped school to go to this and try to meet Sid. He had to leave before Sid came out. He also got caught on the Pens cameras SEVERAL times during practice so there’s a good chance his parents might find out that way.
17. Hotel wifi is shitty. I’ll try to add more as I think of it!
