ok, i'm really angry there is a human being pissing me off, if someone who sends messages saying that doing websex with you refuses, "are you more familiar with this?" they texted me twice saying literally the same thing and i have evidence, and the names are similar it can't be just a coincidence sorry wing I made a post about it, but I'm really angry with these people, hope you can help
Hello there!
I am so sorry, but I am not sure if I understood it well - someone is bothering you through messages asking for stuff you don’t want to do? Only one thing I am thinking about to tell in that situation”: report them, block them.
If it’s more complicated, that’s a person you had some connection before and you don’t want to be bothered by them anymore: explain that you don’t want to be bothered, report them/clock them.
I know often it’s much easy to tell than do, and often “blocking” system if full of flaws and not work propertly, but I don’t have any clever ideas how to help you, Dear. How I can help is posting it and maybe you will receive some more specific help for that situation!
You know what really gets me about Hozier and Florence? Their voices are so powerful and they’re able to put so much energy into their performances and you feel the music booming in your chest and the hairs on your arms are on end and it’s such a fuckin thrill !! And then it ends and suddenly they’re back to speaking so softly ?? They’re almost shy as if they didn’t just give an entire crowd of people a spiritual experience ??? It’s so fucking endearing
Social Working 101 - Emotional Responses
So, I have this coworker which always cries if our clients cry, or when they are telling a story of harassment, violence or something like that. And I get it, I really do! It’s sad to hear from a 5 year old that he get’s regularly beaten up by a family member, and it’s sad to be the first one the 14-year-old girl talks to about the rape that happened to her - but you can’t just cry in front of your clients, and I try to explain why.
1. Kids will pick the one person to talk to which they think can handle their shit. If you show them how sad you get, they will not come again, and everyone who sees this behavior also, because..
2. They like you. You are the one adult who is nice and listens and they don’t want to make you sad, worse..
3. the kids and young adults are going to think it’s their fault that you are sad. That they had made you sad with their story.
4. And then they have to listen or try to make you comfortable, maybe they are going to tell a different side of the story, are going to make it easier to handle.
5. Then there will be the point, where it’s not about the client, but about your sadness because of something that happened to the person who is sitting in front of you, and instead of searching for a solution or comfort him*her, you are getting the attention, a little egoistic, isn’t it?
6. Besides that, as soon as you show a kid who talks about violence that you are totally shocked they are going to tell you a different story of what happened because they will try to protect the parents.
7. when you regularly have to cry at work, because something hit you so hard, then maybe it’s not the right job for you. And I don’t by that mean the whole social work area, but maybe it’s just isn’t this one. The nice thing about being a social worker is, that there are so diverse and different kind of jobs that you can do, try some!
It’s okay to be emotional and empathic, it’s okay to be sad if there is something to be sad about, and trust me, this world is just made of stuff to be sad about. But: don’t let it destroy you or the fun you have at work, and if it does that with you, try something else. Don’t just keep on doing it, because you have this picture of the hero and tough dude in your head. Keep you and others safe. Selfcare <3
a pretty sketchbook tour...I think
Things I don’t need in my life: One-uppers, braggers, over-competitive people, who love to constantly remind you how much better than you they are/how much better they’re doing in life, and are completely self absorbed.
Thinks I do need in my life: Animals. Pizza. I dunno like some water. A dragon or two. Leather jackets.
