so many 'that person copied my dolls!' claims are overreactions to someone having similar taste. But i've been amazed by how blatantly pepstar copies other people's work, sometimes trying to do the same faceup on the same sculpt, like that arsene she did that tried to copy rugged realism's arsene all the way down to the brushwork. Yes mimicry is it's own talent, but she never mentions that she's been inspired by anyone. can't put my finger on it, but what she does feels different than an homage
