Another last minute submission for Perachel Week! This time:“Holidays”

I did a Christmasy edit last year, so I wanted to do something different this year with a New Years Eve theme. 

My headcanons for Percy and Rachel on New Years Eve include lots of sparklers, going to a wild party, and then hurrying back to Sally and Paul’s place just before 12 just so they can be with family when midnight strikes. 

Bonus: they have a challenge where they wake up a few hours later to see the sunrise from the rooftop of the apartment building (which they succeed in doing before promptly going back to sleep for the rest of the day)

I was gonna do perachel week but I forgot so... just regular perachel... I guess?? Anyway, for Halloween Percy and Rachel definitely go as stale memes that aren’t even relevant anymore. They love it and I love them. (I also wasn’t 100% sure what Katy Perry’s outfit was so I just went off what I knew and the rest was just Katy perry inspired)

Percy slung an arm around Rachel’s shoulders and pulled her closer, so she could rest her head on his chest and cuddle into him. “I love days like this,” he said, closing his eyes. 

Rachel hummed happily and tangled her fingers into his sweatshirt. “Me too,” she said. “Just you, me, and the sound of the storm.” 

Her response was a soft chuckle and Percy burying his face into her thick curls. “Do you know what else I love?” he asked, wrapping his other arm around her. 

“Camp Half-Blood?” Rachel suggested, only slightly teasing. 

Percy just laughed again and tugged on one of her curls. “Well, yeah, but that’s not what I was thinking about. I was actually thinking about how much I love you.” 

Rachel blew a raspberry at him as she settled back into him. “Gods, you’re cheesy. But I love you too, I guess.” 

“You guess?” Percy scoffed as he reached down and tickled at her sides. She squealed and tried to move away, but he kept her trapped and ignore her desperate writhing around as he continued to tickle her. “You only guess you love me, Rach? You’re not sure?” 

“Fine! Fine! I love you, Perce, I really do!” 

He stopped tickling her then and moved so he was in front of her then and leaned forward so his lips were only inches away from hers. “Good, because I love you a lot.” 

Rachel snickered before leaning forward and slamming them together. They kissed for a moment before she pulled away and beamed at him. “I love you lots too, nerd.”
