trying to give them godly parents/ancestors whose domains are closest to those of their canonical godly patrons:

kane sibs – descended from two families, translating into making them related to both thor (the best stand-in for horus in this case) from one side and frigg (a pretty neat bijection of isis) on the other. their parents are still rubyjul, but both julius and ruby are demigods, keeping carter and sadie still extra powerful

walt – hel and odin both work on some level, though the only issue with hel would be that it'd make way more sense for walt to die and go to helheim if he were her son. but also walt has a lot of qualities that could be linked as to being very odin-like. i think my favourite solution is to make hel his mom, and have odin feel a sort of paternal way toward him, deciding to keep him in valhalla

jaz – daughter of frey

zia – loki's the god of fire, but sol is the sun goddess. idk. i feel sol would probably be more accurate, taking into account zia's canon relationship to fire magic (generally OK and chill + coming from sun powers rather than fire powers), but loki has more angst potential and could foil walt in the odin situation. also loki gives more room for Transgenderism Happenings. since i don't think the norse pantheon has any process of "claiming" like the greeks do, i think the best i can do is to have zia think sol is his mother, and loki later meets him and tells him that he is, in fact, zia's mother. and it's left up to the readers and to zia to decide if that was, in fact, the truth or just another trick

anubis is just a guy from helheim or a minor god form there. like hel's helper who develops a connection to her son who died way too young and always had an aura of death around him. and he's so good of a friend with this guy to even sneak out and come visit him in valhalla

I feel like I'm not pushing the potential of Godswapped! I like for billford to happen by Ford visiting The Theraprism, mainly out of curiosity, and explore a version of billford if Bill was a better individual. He's still Bill, but less toxic 😀

Piper being the child of pluto born from a broken pact and recently sent to camp jupiter by her father who was trying to protect her from something, she have to learn how to control her power and not hurt her friends while also tries to save her dad and thanatos who both got captured and inprisioned

Leo being the child of mars who lost his mother by gaia when her monsters found their home, esperanza fought the Monsters with a gun mad of celestial bronze to give him enough time to escape.

After running away from another foster home(some months before the events of SON) leo is found by reyna while looking for jason and is brought up to camp jupiter by her

Hazel being a child of aphrodite who was saved by nico from the underwolrd while he was looking for bianca but instead of being brought to camp halfblood hera steal her from nico before he can even notice, and give her fake memories after sending her to wildnerness school

And now she have to figure out her memories while tries to control her charmspeak

Frank the child of hephaestus who ironicaly born with both fire and shapeshifting powers and to balance that hera gave him the piece of wood tied to his life which made him terrified of his own powers his entire life

Even worse because his mother died into a fire some years ago trying to saving him and his wood so he is terrified of using it

His grandma sent him to wildnerness knowing that hedge was going there(hephaestus told her) and here she meets Hazel and falls in love with her

Their backstory still a little bit incomplete but i thought it would be a cool idea

And also jason and percy still the same which meas tha the trios are now

Will and Nico GodSwap AU (Warning: Long Post)

Warning, this is a long post. Okay, so I came up with this GodSwap AU with Nico and Will, but with a twist. Will would be a child of Hades, but everyone accepts and adores him, while everyone is scared and ostracizes the child of Apollo Nico because of his plague powers.

For this AU, The Great Prophecy involves a child of Apollo. The prophecy Oracle Delphi foretold involves the rise or fall of Olympus by a demigod child of the Big Three and Apollo’s if born with the plague. Everything about Nico and Bianca Di Angelo’s past is the same (born in the 30s, raised in the Lotus Casino, Zeus struck down their mother), the only difference is Apollo puts them in the Lotus Casino. Neither of their memories are wiped, so the kids are often confused by the change of time when they leave the Lotus.

Apollo convinced Zeus, he killed Nico and Bianca when he struck Maria, and that one of them had the plague power, making his end of the prophecy impossible to accomplish. All the Olympians agree, allowing Apollo to continue having other children. 

When Bianca and Nico are taken from Westover Hall by Percy and friends, and accompany Apollo on his chariot, Apollo pretends not to know them and doesn’t claim them in order to protect them from Zeus. 

Bianca still joins the Hunters, and Nico is left at camp when the others go to rescue Annabeth and Artemis. Of course, without being claimed, Nico is stuck in the Hermes cabin. Then something strange starts happening around camp. Slowly but surely, a lot of rats start appearing around the camp and soon campers started getting sick.

Now onto Will Solace’s backstory:

Will is still born and raised in modern time and knew he was a demigod from a young age. Hades would frequently visit Will and Naomi, but he doesn’t claim Will to protect him (same reason as Apollo). Hades taught Will how to Shadow travel and trained him in using a Stygian Iron. When monsters started noticing Will, Hades informed his son that he will have to go to Camp Half-Blood, but to keep his identity as the son of Hades a secret. So Will attends the camp as an unclaim in the Hermes cabin, and actually arrives a month or two before Nico does. 

Having a death sense, Will felt an odd aura around Nico ever since he befriended the boy. At first, Will thought Nico was going to die soon, but soon Will understood that Nico was the holder of the plague and is essentially spreading the potential of death around him. Will decides to keep Nico’s secret because he was pretty sure Nico didn’t even know he had the plague. 

To pacify the spread of the plague, Will helps out in the infirmary, since, as a child of Hades, he can diagnose a person’s sickness. This gave everyone the impression that Will was an unclaimed child of Apollo and was essentially taken under the Apollo cabin’s wing.

At one point, Will uses his powers to protect someone, revealing he was a child of Hades all this time, surprising everyone. Instead of everyone being scared of Will because of his parentage, everyone continues to like him because of his kindness and help in the infirmary.

When Percy comes back without Bianca, Nico lashes out, soon after his hands started getting glowing green and rats started appearing. That’s when everyone realizes Nico was the fated son of Apollo with the plague powers, and he was the cause of the recent flu outbreak in the camp. Just like in the books, Nico runs into the forest, but Will runs after him since he was immune to Nico’s plague. 

Sadly, Will lost sight of Nico. With his death sense, Will knew Nico was still alive somewhere. So Will alternates between camp and shadow traveling around the world in order to find Nico. Later on, Will found out Nico (being a son of Apollo) can travel through light of any kind: moonlight, sunlight, artificial light (light bulbs, streetlight, lamps, fire light). Nico is the only child of Apollo who can Light Travel in that century. 

So for the most part, Will was trying to track Nico down, while Nico was trying to avoid Will. Sometimes, they encounter each other, but Will could never convince Nico to come back and Nico just light travels away, restarting their cat and mouse chase. 

Before Will and Nico’s identities were revealed, he and Nico were fast friends. Nico was the overly talkative one, while Will was the listener. It was Nico who befriended Will, because he often saw him alone. In actuality, Will liked being alone, it gave him time with his thoughts. Before coming to camp, people thought Will was the 'weird, quiet kid that wasn't frightened over macabre' stuff, but he actually just prefer staying in the background while other people take the spotlight. That all changed when Nico decided they were friends, but Will didn’t mind. He enjoyed listening to Nico speak enthusiastically about Mythomagic. 

Many of the campers try to convince Will to stop pursuing Nico because he’s a lost cause and a danger to the camp, but Will ignores them because he genuinely likes Nico and misses him. It was only later on, Will realized he's in love with Nico.

Nico, on the other hand, came to hate Will, but from a very different reason than Percy. Nico still holds a grudge against Percy, because to Nico, Percy broke his promise about protecting Bianca (same as the books). Nico also developed this hero-worship crush for Percy (same as the books) and feels ashamed about it.

For Will, Nico was jealous how the camp accepted Will, but rejected him. Especially, the Apollo cabin since they practically adopted Will as their own, even though they're Nico's siblings. So Nico held a grudge against Will, too. Later on, when Nico understood his crush for Percy was just hero-worship, Nico would come to realize that Will was the only one who truly accepted him and wasn’t afraid of his plague powers since the beginning, and in turn, falls in love with Will.

I know I left out some key players (the seven) and events, but I hadn’t planned that much. Just know that Will would have a bigger role in the series since he’s the son of Hades now, but Nico would still maintain much of his storyline too (just need to rework it as a son of Apollo with plague powers).

I might make some small one-shots covering some moments on ao3. Also, feel free to take a crack at it, just promise to send me a link to your fic!

Unluckily for Percy, it seems like not only is he a child of Hermes, destined to be hated for being a liar and a thief, but he’s also being accused of stealing Zeus’s master bolt, which he would never do! Well, he might steal it if given the chance, but he hadn’t even known the gods existed until his friend Grover almost fell down the stairs, leading to a terrible chain of events at the end of which his mom died. So, it definitely wasn’t fair that he had to trek across the country to try and get the bolt back.

Summary: godswap; Aphrodite!Jason x Nico di Angelo - The Cupid Scene

Nico’s not really sure how it escalated.

One moment, Jason Grace and he were wandering Split, Croatia, trying to find details about Diocletian’s Scepter. They’re an odd choice. Not discreet in the least, with the son of Aphrodite’s dazzling purple eyes and glowing skin. He even smells nice.

 The next moment, Nico is hopping a fence trying to chase after a wind god. He had to slow down when he realized Jason wasn’t following. Nico barked for Jason to put those muscles to good use while he ran, heard a stumble—and then after that, they found Favonius. Who flirted with Jason, like every other Croatian they ran into.

 Favonius, a male god. Whatever.

 The next, they find his dumb master, who taunts Nico. Has the nerve to goad Nico and anger him, to the point all Nico sees is black in the corners of his eyes and summons skeletons from every fissure, like the anger creeping up the cracks of his heart from the depths of Tartarus.

 But before he can lunge—Jason Grace does.

 Graceful Jason Grace, whose idea of a conversation was, “Well, I know who you are. Sort of. From afar—um, my sister died in the war. Guess we have that in common.”

 Nico is thrown into the fray, and when he comes to, someone is shaking him.

 Someone with glassy blue eyes, a flurry of bright hair, covered in dirt and bruises. A scar rests on his lip—so tiny and small, but unusual of all places. His hands are—red, bruised, and bloody. Not just human blood, though—ichor.

 “—ico, Nico—” he says, “Nico are a-are you okay?”

 Nico’s okay—his anger practically disappears as he stares at the other demigod, flabbergasted.

 “How many fingers am I holding up?” The other demigod holds him a hand—but it’s trembling, pale, and his thumb is crooked.  

 “Jason?” Nico asks—and he refocuses his sight.

 “Yeah?” The voice is undeniable. Blue-eyed Jason blinks, looking uncertain. “That’s me?”

 He doesn’t sound certain. Nico narrows his eyes, trying to get a clearer view of the other demigod. He’s speechless. “Did Cupid shoot you with an arrow?”

 The mention of Cupid sends this blue-eyed Jason into a frenzy, his hair glowing red for a brief moment. His jaw tightens—and he looks at Nico, evidently not comprehending the issue. “What?”

 Before he gets the chance to look at himself, that annoying laugh echoes through the cavern.

 Pretty, awkward Jason Grace stands to his feet—shielding Nico even though two minutes ago he couldn’t even hop a fence.

 Nico sees Cupid now, undignified, at the pit of the cavern with an obvious black eye. Ichor drips from the corner of his mouth, his ornate suit tousled.

 “Look at that, baby brother,” Cupid says, his voice as rich as chocolate. “So flawed, you’re unrecognizable to others. Not even yourself.”

 Jason snarls. Jason knows how to snarl? “Shut up.”

 “Does it feel good to be angry?” Cupid continues, collecting himself to his feet. He floats—and even with crooked wings, he looks beautiful, even when he’s the most disgusting being Nico’s ever lain eyes on. “You were never quite good at loving yourself anyway. Either of you, as a matter of fact—”

 “Shut up.”

 Then Nico sees it for himself. Jason Grace lunging towards Cupid, hair. Jason Grace reaching for a chokehold and missing. Cupid dodges out of the way, and Jason goes for the lapels of the God of Love’s suit. And Jason punches, over and over, while Cupid laughs in glee.

 Nico sees red—but only at Jason’s fists. “Jason—that’s enough.”

 Jason stops—but even while Nico stares at the other demigod’s shoulder blades, Nico knows Jason doesn’t want to. Jason’s shoulders are trembling. His hands are curled into fists, chest heaving from brutal swings—and Cupid still looks smug.

 Nico reminders how they got here. Cupid taunted them. Both of them, but he taunted Nico first. Tried to get him to talk about Percy.

 Getting that out might’ve been less ugly than the angry Jason Grace in front of him now. Nico’s not sure what to think. He can tell Jason is tired, by the way his glamour doesn’t seem to last. But—what remains in its stead only confuses Nico more.

 “What do you know, baby brother?” Cupid muses. “Self-acceptance. You’re as ugly on the outside as you are on the inside. Just as your mother intended.”

 Now Nico wants to punch him. But—

 “At least my nostrils are symmetrical,” Jason berates.

 Nico makes a sound. Because that’s what makes Cupid’s smile drop. Cupid’s nostrils flare—one large O to a 0, and Nico claps a hand over his mouth.

 “Take that back,” Cupid snaps.

 “Mom didn’t,” Jason snaps back—and Cupid seethes—and his hand flies over his nose.

 Much like every other Aphrodite kid Nico’s ever met, the God of Love looks like he wants to run towards a mirror. But again—Jason surprises both of them.

 Jason takes out a set of—sewing scissors?—and swipes them through Cupid’s hair.

 Cupid makes another horrid sound. Nico’s definitely heard that after a bad hair day.

 “Now we’re both ugly on the outside,” Jason says. “Brother.”

 Cupid screeches—looking less like a domineering god and more like a teenager discovering his first pimple. He vanishes into the winds—and from the other side of the cavern, Nico hears the soft clink of metal.

 A silence passes between them. Nico doesn’t move—and neither does Jason.

 Finally, the son of Aphrodite—the other son—turns around, and stares at Nico with violet irises. He holds up the cause of all their troubles—Diocletian’s scepter—in a bloody hand.

 “Got it,” he says hoarsely.
