thinking about war-time Percethabaster <3
Ethan has a weird sense of . . . respect (???) for Percy, mostly because he feels like he owes him something for the labyrinth incident. He also did blush a very tiny bit when Percy was holding his sword to his neck. Al doesn't care for Percy at all. To him, Percy is the dumb, brainwashed soldier of the Olympians and figurehead of CHB. He's just an annoying obstacle in the army's way. He really likes his lieutenant though and can get a little possessive and smug. He loves making shows of Ethan's loyalty while Ethan hangs dead-faced at his side.
Al is Ethan's general and Ethan admires him for his tenacity and dedication but does think he can be a little too gung-ho at times. So Ethan decides not to tell Al about his weird and confusing attraction to Percy.
Meanwhile, Percy basically doesn't know who Al is but he's still hung up on the cute guy he fought in the labyrinth and who refused to run away with him. Percy keeps being really mad every time he fights Ethan, but also keeps going easy on him and making sure no one kills him.
Anyway, I love thinking of scenarios where Ethan and Al are doing TA shit and Percy is there to stop them, Percy is fighting like a demon and Ethan is trying to do his job and Al is foaming at the mouth over Percy attacking his lieutenant. Alas, Al's anger is slightly dampened when Ethan gets in actual serious danger and Percy refuses to let him die. Al is still going to be an angry little bitch about it while Ethan tries to subtly tell him to chill but still.

Percethabaster but the dynamic is Ethan trying to keep the peace between the two boys he loves, Percy having a blast pulling on Al's tail and Al foaming at the mouth with rage and frustration because the only reason he hasn't killed Percy by this point is because his boyfriend likes him. Then Al gets extremely frustrated for a different reason which is that now he's catching feels for his boyfriend's boyfriend who he is determined to hate.
