Meh for the most part...(spoilers)

If I could, I would have edited out some parts of tonight’s episode. Peretta, while an interesting and understandable character, was a bit grating in the beginning. I don’t like the implication that the Overlords made her see her mother. I am okay with what she did in the barn. 

There is something bothering me about the way they shoehorned in how the Overlords serve others. It’s like the show runners were caught between making Karellen scary or staying with the book.

Is this how people who read the Game of Thrones books feel? You go into the show knowing the whole story but the tv show changes the story in a way that messes with the overall themes.

I will say that I am very happy that tomorrow night is the last night. Instead of getting 12 half-hour episodes, we get three 2-hour episodes. So I guess tonight’s episode wasn’t that bad overall.
