Angsty Break Up with Seventeen’s Performance Unit
Hoshi:
He let his body slide down the wall and dropped to his knees, his dark brown eyes glistening with tears.
“I can’t handle this”, was the last thing you said to him before you dissapeard through the doorway and left his life forever. He stood there with a blank mind, trying to comprehend what happened, where it went wrong, where he went wrong. He spent the whole night contemplating that one line as it swam around in his head. But what he realized was that what you had been saying wasn’t that you couldn’t handle this, whatever you were, what you were really saying was,
“I can’t handle you”.
He pressed his head against the wall, the beads of water started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping and the pain came out like an uproar from his throat in the form of a silent scream. He couldn’t help but think that, despite all the Nicholas Sparks bullshit romance movies tell him, that perhaps all relationships were just a simple case of who gives up first. He hit the wall and tried to scream, but his voice was melted by the sound of the place. The muffled sobs wracked against his chest as he picked himself up, determinded to not give you up so easily.
He stumbled out of the apartment into the pitch black night and ran as fast as his feet could carry him before he arrived at your apartment. The tears made wet tracks down his face and dripped from his stubbled, wobbling chin and he knocked, standing in front of your apartment at 4 in the morning.
“Is it that easy to you? A relationship begins with two people and will always end with the decision two people make...”
The8:
He slammed his hand down on the door in front of you, his chest heaving heavily as he stared blankly at the floor.
“So this is it?” he asked, his voice coming out as nothing more than a whisper. He looked up to see a smile tugging on your mesmerizing lips. There it was, the smile you faked every day to make people believe you’re okay.
You turned your head towards Minghao and met his gaze. A stray tear made his way down your now pale cheek as you bit down on your lower lip to conceal your emotions.
“I hope you find someone who doesn’t make you sad at night and someone who reminds you how much they love you every day and who laughs at your jokes and wants to listen to your music and who genuinely wants to be with you and doesn’t make you second guess their love for you. I really hope you find that because you deserve that.” your voice cracked and your lips started to tremble as you quickly turned away to him to not make him realize how much these words have hurt you. But sometimes you have to break your own heart to protect others from it.
“You’re lying.” he said and you simply shook your head, looking up to keep your emotions inside, deeply knowing that you were. You opened the front door and slowly stumbled towards the car. Minghao stopped at the door and watched you dissapear into the darkness of the lonely night. His eyes were burning and his chest felt heavy as if it were filled with lead. He could no longer see clearly. All he knew was that you were gone, out of his life for possibly forever. He reached out his hand so that he could clearly see it, there were no markings at all. You were gone. Forever. A drop of water fell onto his hand he looked to the sky and even though the sky had been grey and looked like it was about to break into a heavy downpour, not a drop came from the sky.
Looking down at his hand again another drop appeared and he realized that the liquid was coming from my eyes...
Jun:
“I’m sorry.” he whispered, his voice cracking as tears started to prick his eyes.
“I know you are. I know that. I’ve always known that you’re sorry.” you replied as something undefinably magic built up in your heart.
“Give me a second chance, Y/N. I’ll prove to you how much I need you. I’ll prove that we can last forever,” he pleaded.
“I can’t. I’m sorry. You’re the reason for my devastation. And I can’t let it happen to me again,” you turned away and you heard him start to sob and you leaned your head back to stop the tears from coming, but it doesn’t work.
He refused to look away, even as his lips trembled and his shoulders heaved with emotion, unwilling to back down. His dark lashes brimmed heavy with tears; his hands clenched into shaking fists, in a desperate battle against the grief.
A lone tear traced down his cheek, and just like that, the floodgates opened.
He wept, tears streaming from his deep brown eyes, loud, heaving sobs tearing from his throat, and still he did not look away.
Not until the sobs drove him to his knees did his determined gaze fall...”I’m sorry...”
Dino:
He watched you slowly gathering all your belongings from your shared apartment with shaking eyes. His heart broke when he noticed your shaking hands and hesitant movements, understanding that you didn’t truly want to leave. He bit his tongue, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave his eyes as he walked up behind you, watching your upper body heave as silent sobs escaped your lips. “Y/N...” he started, placing a hand down on your shoulder and spinning you around to face him. His gaze met yours, “Don’t force yourself to something your heart does not truly want.”
You whipped the wetness of your reddened cheeks with the sleeve of your sweater and took a deep breath. “If you claim you care about me, why don’t you show it?” you spoke slowly, he could hear your voice shake nervously.
“I can’t explain.” he was sorry.
He ran his hand through his hair as he tried to form the right words to explain his feelings.
“How am I supposed to tell you that I get shy when it comes to you, whenever you’re around I get so tense I can barely move and whenever you speak my heart stops. Don’t even get me started on your smile,”
he began, a smile tugging on the edge of his lips by the memory of being the source for your happiness,
“your smile is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen by far, when you smile it feels like I’m complete and I can’t do anything but stare. Yes. I do care about you. Sometimes I care so much about you, that I forget to show you...
