So today I started a social change movement. It had a lot more success than I planned! I stood outside on my campus holding a sign saying all the names i have been called, while my boyfriend held a sign that said, "You are Pretty." When questioned, I explained that I was trying to end criticism and start a chain of complimenting. I asked passersby to write names they have been called on my shirt, leaving their baggage with me and I would leave them with a compliment. There are some pretty nasty things on the back of my shirt now, and a lot of people found it incredibly moving. I even had a few girls ask to take pictures of me. I asked the people when they left to go about their day and to carry on the chain of compliments. I am very proud of the movement I started, and I hope it inspires you to go on and create your own chain of compliments. You are pretty.
