Perhaps unsurprisingly, Fenris has and always will have terrible penmanship. Though he works harder than most at learning his letters, he will never have the easy way with pen and ink that Hawke does, or Varric, or even (Maker forbid) Isabela, and he cannot pretend that he does not envy Bethany's beautifully-written letters or the pages in Varric's journals. Learning too late how to put his thoughts to paper, his words are large and clumsy, often tilting up the page or running off of the edge altogether, and he will never not be embarrassed by his inability to change this.

  The interior of the Crown and Lion sat rather well with Sigrun by now, to the point where she was certain this woman hadn’t been here before. Or at least, not that she knew of. Perhaps she was lost?   … Or maybe the dwarf should stop drinking enough to bump into strangers in a pub.

            ”Sorry, I was just— greeting a new face! Sigrun’s the name, and yours is—?” 

The woman leaned back against the bar, raising a brow as she regripped her mug, "Captain Isabela." she replied, almost warily... her former comment had been one out of mere irritation... not friendly advice. And she wasn't in the mood for sloshed-up dwarves today-- "It's a pleasure, Sigrun."

It was. Or... would have been. Had she been in a slightly better air.

"Either I really had too much to drink or…" Well for one, Anders certainly felt as if he did, aching all over. He didn’t dare thing it was from something else. Nope.

He frowned, sitting up as he stared at the companion next to him. Only he could end up in bed with someone and not know what had happened last night. “Care to ah- let me in on what I’m actually doing here?"

"Right, right, I understand yes," the king responds, Bann Teagan is going on about Alistair's duties for the day. His uncle is fond of repeating things over and over again in order to make his point clear since he remembers Alistair more the boy he once was instead of the man he is now. Things have changed considerably now that Alistair sits on the throne of Ferelden, even if the change took time.

"Uncle, I understand; I listen, I answer questions, I look handsome sitting up here, I get it. Now please, let in the first guest," with a laugh he waves a hand at the entrance hall, signalling a guard to open up the doors. He sits up straight, wanting to make a good impression. It took a little while for Teagan and Arl Eamon to teach him all of his duties, even longer for them to break him of his habits but he's getting better as each day goes by. Occasionally he'll slip back into his slobbish bastard ways but he is accepting his role slowly but surely.
