Group Backstory: The 5 were raised in a travelling circus, being illegally imported from different countries. They lived in the circus together until it went to New York. There, their owner found a canister of mutagen (one of the ones dropped in season 2) which they all got into. They were mutated as a result. Not long after that they ended up killing their owner and shutting down the circus. Their owner was abusive to them and illegally purchased them, and the audience didn't seem to care, which caused them to develop a hate for all humans. Once the owner was dead, the group started developing an anti-human opinion, other than Ursa who instead started exploring New York. Ursa eventually left the Circus Freaks, ending up with Leo and the turtles instead. The Circus Freaks now want Ursa dead too, same with any other mutants that ally themselves with humans or that started off as humans.

I imagine they're introduced mid-season 2 but don't come back again until mid-to-late season 3 (with the exception of Ursa, introduced in the same ep as the Circus Freaks but is a regular ally of the turtles after that).

Extras: - Sun theme - Ringmaster theme and costume - Dating Celine - One of those silly flamboyant villains who can actually do damage - Can switch from evil mastermind to silly no thoughts baby in an instant - He has a few accessories that are stolen from their dead owner - Uses a ringmaster staff that doubles as a flail - Also has a little blade attachment strapped to his tail for combat - His mane is styled the same way as Lion from Steven Universe - The others were all purchased for the circus, in Letsatsi’s case his mother was given to the circus and he was born there, she has since passed away - Has beef with Tiger Claw bc they’re both cats

Extras: - Nebula theme - Strongwoman theme and costume - Named after the Rosette Nebula - The mother figure, the gang actually does call her mum to her face - She’s not much of a fighter but I mean she’s an elephant, she can absolutely throw down if needed - Usually pretty calm, but when elephants get angry my GOD they get angry - Doesn’t enjoy leaving the circus, she often just stays back and defends the place if the others go out - Perseid is her favourite child but she’d never say that out loud - Has been in the circus the longest out of the gang - My girl loves jewellery, anywhere she can wear some she’ll wear some - Has a rose design painted onto her back

Extras: - Meteor theme - Clown theme and costume - Named after Perseid meteor shower - He’s just a silly guy (who hates everyone in the group except Rosette) - Is absolutely the kind of person who’d would scream just for the hell of it - Before Ursa left the two of them were really close, he doesn’t hate them as much as the others do but they’re still enemies now - Very Mikey-esque (but evil) in the sense that he’s like the annoying little one who does pranks and jokes - He owns a few different jackets (bc he refuses to wear the same more than twice in one week), and while his main one is green he also has some in orange, pink, purple, white, and red, they’re all shiny though - He’s tiny, just look up the size of his species - Unlike the others, he prefers being on all fours - ADHD
